My problems with the game

As the title says.

 

1.When I've got enough XP to level up a tank/td/arty, I want to see myself progressing.

 

Now please tell me, what is the progress in vehicles that become WORSE than the previous ones in the tech tree?

Take a look at the american arty tech tree:

M44 (1600) has highter DPS than the M12 (1500). M12 has higher DPS than M40/43 (1400). - the hell is this? Isn't it supposed to be the opposite? I mean, have you ever heard about mechanicals irl talking about "this is our new arty we just developed. it's worse than what we had but hey who cares"?

 

2. The Black Prince is a joke. A walking sht.

3. The Indien-Pz is a joke. Too slow for support, too low DPS to be TD. It's just bad.

4. The AMX 40 has no meaning,

5. The AMX ELC bis is... a TD---????

6. I find the game very unbalanced as the most heavies I see are soviet IS's and Objectives

7. The progress is very slow considering that I don't want to play hundreds of matches with the same tank just to level up. It's just boring. Yes, I know, free XP. This should be a possibility not a must-to-do thing.

8. Tiger I was the uncrowned king of it's time. Somewhy here I easily 3 hit it (sometimes you don't even need 3 hits) [also it has the same armor as the VK 36.01 (H)... like wtf?]

9. It happens a lot that you are matched with 2 tier higher enemies. Now tell me please, what's the point of the armor of a heavy tank, if a 2 level higher light tank easily hits through it?

10. Same as 9 but from the other side of the spectrum: what's the point of the gun of a light tank if the enemy's heavy tank is 2 level higher than you?

11. I feel the game should be about different playstyles and not about who has the more rounded armor (as it currently is)

12.  9+10+11: matchmaking sux.

13. Microtransactions.. well, uhm, IDM, but be a bit less hungry (and take into consideration that the prices are too high. we eastern-europeans cannot afford the same as the western-europeans... Im willing to pay but man, prices here are just insane)

14. The radio thing is fine as it is, BUT, you should be able to see vehicles on your screen. What I means is, the fact that my radio-guy is blind, doesn't mean I am. If something is in front of me, I should see it... orhear it for fk sake... don't tell me I cannot hear something that's coming (engine noises and such) until it's in front of me.. like lol.

15. I think weak points are interesting and I find them good. But there are SOME, which are just ridiculous. Don't tell me a tank will blow if you hit it's top lid. :D 

 

+1: I see too many lilac and yellow people paired against red ones. They win to 15:1 or to 15:2 (3, 4) Matchmaking sux.

 

Oh, yeh, if it wasn't clear:

matchmaking sux. (after playing with such many multiplayer games in the past 15 years, I cannot believe companies still can't make a proper matchmaking system)

 

The game itself is good though, and developed since I last saw it. But I'd rather see less but balanced vehicles.

I also imagine there are more problems with the game, I just didn't notice them yet.

This game annoys you 

So why be unhappy. 

 

This game can be informed and then un informed

So you seem to dislike most things about the game, but you still think it is good? 

 

You don't want to play 100's of battles in the same tank because it is boring? Why? what are you going to do when you get to TX? Play 100 battles and then what?

 

Just what do you expect from this game?

1. Maybe I wrote it on the wrong way. "this could be something I like" -sounds better?

2. That's what I'm ask from myself too. For example I would like to try this gamemode thing (where 9 big maps are forged together), but I always found leveling up the tanks too boring. The same 10-15 maps, heavies always go to the side, lights always go to the same place, TDs camp at the same spot, etc. etc.

Now don't misunderstand me: these maps and different game modes (capture, defend etc) were interesting, for the first time. For the second time. For the Xth time. But as you can see, I've got 2k+ battles. Just got bored of it, that's all.

 

 

See? When I got bored of 1 thing, I moved to another...

14. You are confusing radio range with view/spotting range.

 

You seem to be somewhat obsessed with DPS(M?).  There's a lot more to an upgrade than that, especially with arty where your damage output can be severely limited by your aim time and ability to switch aim from one area of the map to another.

With the M12 This was around 2k (but many times went down to 1.5k)

You know we can see your stats?

 

Your average damage per battle in the M44 is 706, in the M12 it's 889, in the M40/43 it's 1018 which does not quite fit the tale you are telling.

 

It gets better if I go in game.

Your maximum in the M44 is 1845 so you had no battles with 3k+ damage.:sceptic:

The M12 is 2996

The M40/43 is 2147 but that's after only 7 battles.

Sure, but you had even more games with 0-500 damage...

You don't play enough battles in any tanks to learn them.

I think it's your perspective of WoT is what preventing you from having fun.

 

From what you wrote it looks that you see game in tonks as something like this - TDs go there, heavies there, scouts there, then they shoot each other and the last standing are the victors.

And it's quite far from what WoT realy is. 

 

When you push In battle button WoT is like a roulette that deals you your "hand" - a map to play in, a set of allies and a set of opponents, plus your tank that you chose for that particular game. Because the combination of those things almost never repeats itself each new game in WoT is actually somewhat unique.

After you've been dealt your "hand" by the matchmaker you assess the situation and determine your long term goals - which way to go and how to play there. And from there you play through current in-game situations as they unfold, trying to make the best of your "hand" with skills and knoledge of the game that you have.

And the fact that you basically have only one shot at winning the game is what gives all this the thrill of an actual battle.

 

At least that's how i see this game and why after almost 30k battles i still  return to it from time to time and it's still fun.

For starters, it's not Damage Per Second but Damage Per Minute. For someone whining about minor details you sure do fail at getting those right yourself. Especially for SPG's that DPM is theoretical and hardly the most important number to look at. This is not some 'Free to Play, Pay To End Up On Top' RPG style MMO, and the SPG class most certainly isn't the Damage Dealer from those MMO style games. While far from an SPG expert myself, I would think damage per shot, accuracy, aim time, stun time, and splash radius are far more important.

 

It's also obvious you don't understand even basic game mechanics yet, but despite that you (of course) do have XVM installed and whine about the colors MM throws at you. Remove XVM, focus on understanding the game mechanics and getting better first.
