This beast? and why? Clash of the OP tanks. I needed a little gold so bought 3 more boxes and this was in one of them.

Out of the two? Is3-a

Reason: Defenders are easy prey even for pref tier 8s (allright, the chinese prefs) most of the time and many players use them like they are some sort of oven to shove in front of the enemy

...Both are played by utter muppets who think they can play well just because they're in a supposedly OP tank.

I swear, the % of dumb IS-3A / Defender drivers I've seen greatly surpasses those who play standard tanks.

Therefore, neither is OP, but technically the IS-3A is stronger simply because it's broken.

I already have all 3 of them and now i'm just waiting to finish the collection with the IS£a Black Edition or whatever they call it when they smather a  used tampon down the side of the turret and call it a different tank.

IS-3 Kirovets-1 also exists. Poor thing gets forgotten by so many. It's an IS-3 premium with stock turret (so no roof weakspot) & no pikenose (so you can angle it at corners)

In my opinion it is the Defender that is the best by quite a margin.

The old IS3a was universally hated as it was a worse IS3. It did have a better DPM but both it's gun handling and manoeuvrability were much worse.

Welcome the new IS3a that has this re-loader mechanism. This re-loader allows the tank to store up to 3 shots and has a reload of 11.5 seconds with vents. This is 1 second worse than the old IS3a that had a reload of 10.31 with gun rammer.

But this re-loader allows the IS3a to have a hugh advantage because you can unleash 1170 damage in 6 seconds, unfortunately this is usually under less than ideal conditions as you are required to expend the ammunition or have a glacial 17.24 seconds reload with vents, as soon as you engage. Some people have suggested that it should have the Italian style auto re-loader but that makes it even more powerful as  you can then retain that burst potential for when it is most useful. In my opinion that would be OP.

My opinion is that they have given the IS3a the auto re-loader in exchange for a 1 second reload nerf. It's a buff but I think it is far from OP.

IS3A is a broken mechanic on a below average platform, Defender is broken as a whole...
(I have both tanks.)

Having had both for some time (and not being especially good in either), I played the IS-3A most often, despite the lower damage potential. The principle reason was the greater speed, which was useful for team battles where most people were driving IS-3s. Now, I'm not sure which I prefer. They both have advantages, so which I take into battle is decided by what I'm trying to achieve.

Got them both too,

IS-3A since Xmas, so no real experience on it. Seems ok, Reasonable pen, different but nothing OP, imo.

The Defender, Same stuff and have played it quite much, good for credits, pretty ok on all areas but not really OP, I think.

I'm not scared to engage either of these tanks in a batlle, so maybe I'm just a stupid noob.

I'm just wondering for what ppl are expecting/hoping of these tanks? Just to play in an OP tank? I'd say dream on.

I use them to grind credits, since I always use the best crew available for them.
