So, after 2 sessions of grinding I managed to finish the last 3 TD missions for the HTC and unlocked it today. Yay.

Now I'd like to (slowly, most likely) progress towards the T-55A, since the Excalibur missions are sooo grindy and exhausting that I'll probably have them run in the background and hope to finish them someday.

Since WG stated that the campaign missions should be doable in a tank of the same tier as the reward tank, I expect to struggle a little since I have only 4 tier 9s and am not good enough in them to reliably pull my weight. Below I'll post a list of all tanks I have that could theoretically do the missions (tier 6+), I'd really appreciate if some of you could sugest any tanks I might want to add to give me better chances.

Also, like I did in the previous campaigns, I'll probably skip the HTs since that's the class I perform the worst in.

Thanks in advance and happy tanking

:honoring:

You need a Type 5 or something really heavy for the HT missions also a TVP or a skoda T50 for the MT missions. This is one of the most boring parts of WOT even when you get a good reward tank!

Lights: The higher tier the better for LT-15. As the more HP the enemy team can have for you to spot. For the rest speed and ROF will help more on some, like tracking tanks etc. And camo on others like getting early spots without getting spotted first. I did most of those in the T71 DA, 13 90 "when it was tier 8" and the Type 64.

Meds: ROF and speed is key again on some missions. Even more so on MT-12 that is more luck then skill. But having ROF to reset the module repair when you shoot the rear side of a Russian HT is helpful. Skoda T25 for MT-2 and 4 or even the BC is nice for MT-3 & 5 etc. Cromwell B did most of mine there. So you have good enough guns to do most of them. But you might struggle with MT-15. 2500 damage to TD's alone is a lot even for the tier 9 BC. But not impossible.

HT: This is where I suspect you will struggle a bit. I know you said that's the one you would skip. But some of them are not difficult for the extra reward on the way. And can be done in any one of them. HT-4 is perfect for the O-I or the KV-2. But then you have missions like HT-5 and 7 that has 3000 damage as the main objective. And 12K combined is not easy on a tier 8 HT. Unless ofc you find an isolated stock tier 6 HT in your Defender that you don't fire on and just allow him to shoot you to farm block damage. If not that might be a bit tricky unless you have a tier 9/X super heavy.

TD: Again most should be fine there. And the E25 is perfect for most of them, inc TD-9 with his ROF. As he did most of mine along with the SU-100 that I used for TD-8. As for those with 2 to 3K damage needed. Just go for one you feel you can do that often with. Tho there is one that needs a total of 3K damage when you are not spotted. That's easier the higher the tier and alpha you have. I did that in the 183. TD-15 is 6K damage. And again, tricky with a tier 8. But not impossible.

SPG: M40/M43 is perfect. Even stock. As stock has a better ROF to farm stuns for some missions. So keep grinding it. As 90% used the M50/53 to do those missions. As the stock gun there is perfect for stun farming. I did SPG-15 with the stock gun on that "before the changes". But S-51 via the KV-2 is not a terrible option for stun farming missions. As it has the fastest ROF vs stun with the stock gun on any arty.

Get the right tanks and forget about missions. I found that powergrinding them is not good for your mental health.

You might not believe me but I got the T-55A just right NOW. Through power grinding and collecting back orders.

But this is true.

It is more about having the right vehicles...

I didn't say you couldn't do it. Just that you shouldn't. :D

Just enable the missions, most of them will be done without even thinking about it and just playing normally.

It was the same with the Stug, T28 and Obj.260

There is the odd 1 or 2 missions that you need to think about and play differently to get, or use a specific tank for. The rest just seem to happen by themselves.
