What premium tank (with focus on tier 8 but not exclusive) would you recommend to noob in this game?

Some tier 5 or 6 max, learn them and then move to tier 8, so you won't ruin games for your team.

T14 or Excelsior maybe, the Jap Heavy Tank no VI (tiger clone) is also pretty decent. Matilda IV or BP are also good, although BP needs a bit more experience and some RNG luck to get lucky with.

You have eight tier VIII prems already, I'm not sure why'd you want more of them ?

Looking at what you've got and what you succeed with ;

If you have gold lying around in your account, try AT-15A or SU-122-44

If it becomes available again, try IS-2

Churchill III was always a suggestion from me, why go pew pew when you can go pew-pew-pew-pew-pew

Agreed on Churchill III

Excel is also nice, if you don't mind the gun - very similar to T14.

With focus on tier VIII - Defender, IS-3A, (s)Lowe, T-44-100 maybe, T54 mod. etc.

There's going to be a lot of boo'ing now, but the most noob friendly premium tank is the Soviet tier 5 Matilda IV. It has legendarily bad penetration (even with APCR) and very good players want to be able to kill the entire enemy team, which may just not be possible with this low pen and tanks like T-150, Churchill VII and O-I driving around, hence its bad reputation. However, for an average joe, this tank is super effective and very easy to play: just don't go to places where heavy armour tends to congregate, go harass enemy medium tanks. You have crazy good DPM, hefty amount of hitpoints, and even armour that is not trivial to pen; you are generally able to kill a tier 6 medium by sheer DPM and trundle away to look for the next one. This simple method gives 60+% win ratio to very mediocre players. And you don't see higher than tier 6. And you have legendary gun depression (14 degrees if my memory serves), so you can play any ridge or hill with ease.

T34/85M is excellent. Reasonable mobility, relatively good armour and good gun handling (and much cheaper than T8s!). The Cromwell B is fun, but maybe not noob friendly. I would echo the Churchill III.

Super P is pretty forgiving - downsides are it's speed and ( lack of ) mobility, get isolated vs a light tank and you will have a hard time, but keep everything in front of you and it's good to go. Gun is nice, with Prem MM don't even have to fire that much "Special Ammo", iirc I carry 11 APCR on my F2P account SP.

I would agree on the Churchill III - as that is available for a bargain quite often (50% discount)

the T-34-85M or Rudy are some very nice medium tanks. not good in anything particular, but well balanced imo.

Both Lowe and Defender have great armor and good penetration.

For non-T8, both pzB2 and KV-220 have great armor but poor penetration

For the lower tiers go for the Tunderbolt, Cromwell B or the Rudy since they come with a zero skill crew.

I'm actually almost sold on this tank. I haven't yet bought many premiums, and I quickly dismissed this one ages ago when I took a look at its attributes, but my interest is piqued.

Best of the best. Remember to load enough HE rounds for paper tanks like arty and SPIC :justwait:

KV-220-2 or the Churchill III. Cheap and cheerful.

T-34-85 M is one of the best choices which is available from the Tech tree. Very easy tank to play. Some armor and crazy dpm for a med at tier 6. It is also the main tank to use in Tier 6 Stronghold battles.
