This happens to me once in a blue moon. The controller crashes but recovers. It does not save the game and I must restart it though.

nVidia here. Drivers up to date.

It still could be modifications/mods. Have you executed World of Tanks in safe mode?

Go to your WoT install directory, most likely it's:

C:\Games\World_of_Tanks

Then open "python.log", in it you'll find a lot of code and stuff, you'll also find these things:

\------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/

/------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\

They indicate when your client was shutdown and opened again, a new session so to speak, around there you'll most likely find some error messages. My guess would be that it say something like this:

INFO: [Info] FATAL ERROR: RenderSystemDeviceAccess::genericInterfaceCallFailureHandler - device in unsupported state: The device has been removed.

Which most of the time is caused by overheating.

Hello, support is likely to be your best friend, but in this case. For my curiosity could you please clarify whether you're using onboard sound or not?

Then you most likely have mods installed which wasn't compatible with the current version and/or have remnants of them here: https://eu.wargaming.../article/10218/

I am having the same problem, can run the game without any problems using integrated intel graphics but when trying to start with Nvidia GTX 970m I end up with the "A video card error has occured", have new factory reseted laptop with only Windows, Drivers and WoT (vanilla) installed and the problem still persists, have anyone any idea what the issue is, is it WoT or my graphics card that is busted (hardware vs software)?

That's most likely a driver issue, can also be an hardware issue but I doubt that's the case, also have a look at the temps of the card. Also if you got an AMD CPU check so you got the latest BIOS installed and that you haven't overclocked it.
