Hi Tankers,

So, my question is that if I turned off chat, would I be able to see the f4-f8 commands, pings and crap in the chat bar? Tell me, plz :)

Yup, those are treated differently, they also get translated to your client language on the receiver side. It's actually quite a peaceful way of playing as you have a somewhat effective means of communication without seeing any chat spam.

Off-topic but chat window related: The annoying habit so many players had of saying (what I presume was) 'Hi' in their naturally incomprehensible native languages other than English decreased significantly. And that's a very good thing.
