I was thinking to myself today: Tier 10 is really ploppy.... its kind of sucky with a dose of runny? So, the big question, is tier 10 .... trash?

Reasons why I say this:

1. Tons of camping static play, first person to try using his brain and make an initiative to unblock a stalemate is "balanced" for trying to use some intelligence by going to the garage with a significant credit loss.

2. Because RNG dictates the effectiveness of the big alpha guns, its pretty much pot luck as to whether your team starts 2 tanks up or down as RNG will just say ("no you cant damage but they can take 5000hp off your tanks in a couple of seconds)

This, I believe, intellectually speaking, is the objective justification to call tier 10, a load of useless horse-leakage. But I'll let YOU ,the public decide....

Yes it's awful.

Most games are 10+ heavy tanks aside, with 1-2 hipster meds and the rest of the team is big calibre TDs or arty.

Most of the heavies are Super heavies with no weakspots like Type 5 and Maus, or hull down monsters like Super Conq and IS7, that all go to the same spot to sling premium ammo and premium HE at each other, whilst 2-3 clickers crap on them.

Then on the 'other' flank, because there are only two flanks at best on most maps, you'll have a few meds, and maybe a few heaviums afraid to go anywhere because there are 3-4 + Fv4005s and JpE100s waiting on base camping ledges ready to punish them for daring to do anything as bold as actually try to win the game and play actively.

Eventually the heavy RNG slugfest resolves itself, usually by whichever teams bot like players drive out sideways in their near invincible heavies and the winning heavies then push into the base camping TDs and a team wins, either the one that won the push if they had enough HP or occasionally if they have lost enough tanks/HP the base camping bots sneak a win thanks to how OP their base camping spots are and how broken their tanks are.

Too many power creep tanks, too much armour and too many broken tanks on tier 10 and on maps that just can't handle all tier 10 games.

The only tier 10 games that work are sadly 3-5-7s and 5-10s because that means there are only 3-5 tier 10s per side which means that you generally don't get too many broken/OP/super powercreep tanks and the game works a bit better.

But of course whilst every tier 8 game you play is pretty much bottom tier against tier 10s, if you switch to a tier 10, you'll play almost always all tier 10 games.

Tier 10 is boring and campy due to the completely idiot proof armor on everything. I only play it in CW's and *SOME* matches in randoms if platoon mates insist, but otherwise I leave it at the side.

Tier 7 to 9 are much more interesting and their is much less of an over-reliance on armor to compensate for gameplay deficiencies. There is also a bigger difference in view ranges between classes so more areas of the map open up for playing.

Might be the worst balanced tier in the game. Funny how WG balanced tier 10 to make it even worse...

It's the logical result of poor game design.  Doesn't have to be that way.

Grand battles are totally okay, as long as the team moves along the edges of the map and do not go full n00b into the middle and get shot up from all flanks. Maps are bigger, and thus they seem to work. But what needs to be done is to lessen the density of tanks per battle, as having 60 tanks on the same map is silly. 15 tanks per team, not 30, would promote team play.

But yeah, poo it is - tier 10 that is. My golden spot is, despite the obvious drawbacks, tier 8.

For me, it's pooey. As an end-game goal for most people, tier 10 is garbage. Unbalanced MM, mindless gold spam, Japanese gold HE spamming fortresses...
If you grinded an "out of meta" tank like the e100 it's even worse.

Its bad!

In my 10k battles so far i grinded to 3 tier 10 tanks...

A super heavy Object 705A, a tank destroyer STRV103B and a Heavy tank the Kranvagn... And to be honest if i knew before hand what was the situation on tier 10, i would had used all that time and XP to open more lines leading up to tier 8 and would had stopped.

Battles in tier 10 are horrible! If its a all tier 10 battle, there is not much u can do, cause u are forced into corridors were other players already picked the good spots and u either sit and wait to see what happens and maybe get a piece of the pie, or go foward to be sent to garage pretty quick, or in alternative if the map is good, on the STRV pick a bush and go to town on the enemy, wich was in fact the only tier 10 in wich i had some fun playing it.

But it is a tier where doing credits is hard as hell.

Maps are way too small and relying too much on corridors to make the tier work.

I Play mainly tier 8, despite all the problems it has, being the alternative tier 6, wich in most cases is fairly decent, but i do have tanks from other low tiers and working on adding the favourites back into the garage to use from time to time, and i sold my tier 10s for now and am not planning on rebuying them back so soon.

I thought it was just me that felt this way. I only ever play tier 10 tanks these days if there is a mission need or some other reason that I cant wriggle out of

I’m not there yet, but you don’t pair a good picture. I’m at Tier VIII where my usual form is to be a Tier 8 rodent that gets devoured by Tier X snakes
