I just finished the 2018 festive collections and went to have a look at the camos and inscriptions. While checking the US/UK ones, I came across these bizarre inscriptions.

Spoiler

So you can run around in your 'Murican tanks spreading Chinese propaganda whilst leaving a trail of sh*t in your wake.

If you think Americans don't wear any kind of Chinese symbols on their bodies you clearly haven't seen enough trampstamps. Or never spotted gems like this site: https://www.resharew...oos-gone-wrong/

You read into it the inscriptions on QB's arty. I read into it some really hilarious political satire. Someone else might visualize a T49 with the derp gun running around like a fat boi with a stubby gun. Comedy gold, enough said! :)

Nationalist Chinese propaganda, mind you. The three principles are democracy, welfare and nationalism, by the way. Funnily enough, the actual Taiwanese in-game tank, the Type 64, has Chinese PLA inscriptions. It should really be treated the same as the Panther/M10, which has US variant camo/inscriptions (which means that you can spout Koumintang propaganda on your Panther posing as an US tank destroyer).

Bonus:

errr... "Avant le Char de Mort"

in French is wrong grammar and the meaning is a bit off.

translates as "Before the tank from death"

if I saw this inscription on a tank, I would guess the crew isn't French.

Ha...that's funny, because Google translates "Avant Le char de Mort" as "Before The Death Car"

...**** ME FRENCH IS WEIRD! Upper/lowercase at the start of each word matters greatly...

I'm guessing "Before the death car" means something like..."we are here to fight, before we inevitably end up in a hearse". Dark.

nope, uppercase almost doesn't matter at all in French, just for people/places names.

But seeing this on a US tank in a picture in the post above explains everything.

Chinese emblems was added suddenly almost 2 years ago to US tanks. I suspect by mistake as they took everything the Chinese had, and not US propaganda variants. But 7-8 months ago they suddenly removed half of them, and refund anyone bought with gold that they removed. As I lost all of my "be aware of spies" one I had on most US tanks, but had more gold on my account.

I suppose 'laxative' refers to the effect on the enemy.

It did, unsuprisingly, belong to some US field artillery batallion that fought in Normandy. Most likely 991st, per Zaloga and some others. Sensible name, the batallion was usually attached to the 3rd armoured division - nicknamed Spearhead.

Rest assured, the crew didn't just mess up the French, they also messed up the batallion's shield, reversing the colours.

I guess it was due to copyright claims.
