Why are top tier heavy tanks allowed to camp in the base and not banned for unsportsmanlike conduct?

I've had a few battles where our top tier heavy tank never leaves the base, never uses it's armor or gun to help the team. 45% or 43% winrate because they AFK in the base, shooting preferably HE. While the enemy top tier heavy tank kills half of our team. What can we bottom tier tanks do to stop the enemies? We need to support our good tanks, so we need to sit behind the heavy tanks, but we can't since the heavy tanks are already as far back as possible. And I don't have a problem with it if that's the way to win, but these people don't win any battles. They have sub-bot winrates, they never contribute because they do no damage. How is that not unsportsmanlike conduct? Why are these useless idiots allowed to take the fun out of the game for the rest of the team? If someone can't learn that a tier 7 heavy tank as top tier should be doing something else than 0 damage by hiding in the base shooting HE, why it is allowed to be top tier? Helping the enemy team win 57% of battles because one sits AFK in the base, because it is unable to learn anything?

I mean it is just a game, so why don't they play? It doesn't require a genious to figure out that if you can't win any battles, you are doing something really wrong. And isn't a game supposed to played, not AFKed? No wonder the player base in declining, all is left are these 43% winrate players that never do anything. If WG wants this game to stay fun and competitive for all, it needs to start looking at how players play and start banning those that don't play. Or just limit them to low tiers, where people still learn the game, because obviously someone that after 10 000 battles only shoots once per game hasn't learned a thing and thus shouldn't be in a decisive role because they don't even try.

Because it's a free game and they can do as they like  AND YOU DO NOT GET TO DEMAND OTHER PLAYERS HAVE TO COMPLY WITH YOUR EXPECTATIONS, so grow up, quit whining and get on with it snowflake!

This.

We all get teams with these players, there's slightly more chance they will be on the enemy team though.  You can't force people to play how you want, you can only make the best of what you have got.

^^This more or less. You can't ban people for playing baddly.

If they AFK you should use the "Inactive/Bot" report instead of "Unsportsmanlike Conduct".

No mate this is one of the players who think personal choice is for everyone not just whining babies who have an emperor complex and think they get to demand others do what they want!

Is that you by chance?

Staying at base and not even trying to play is equally bad than pushing allies in front of enemies. It's not part of "anyone can play the way they want."

That's why we have reports.

Just a shame so many people use them on scouts who don't suicide for them or arty players.

They can and I can shoot them for it. Being able doesn't mean it's right.

The guys I play with have a real laugh at the imbecilic clowns who constantly type report ****  for bot or such nonsense in the chat for the most ludicrous reasons, when they start we now type in report ****** for having an obnoxious paint job etc, it often starts a flood of comedy reports in chat, usually shuts the teachers pets up!

I think some players would be better off playing the Total War series or some other game where they get to control all the items on their side.......this 'free will' thingy is too much for some.

No I'm not, I'm saying they can because they can play as they like, your trying to compare someone playing from a location you don't agree with is the same as pushing someone out to be shot, which is clearly nonsense, trying to get someone killed deliberately is unsportsmanlike behaviour and can be actioned, staying in the cap to fight is up to them and not you,  it's not cheating or illegal, it's a players choice and YOU have no right to tell them differently!

Which is totally different to trying to get someone killed deliberately!

Trying to get someone killed and trying to lose on purpose is equally bad.

In your mind you think they're trying to lose on purpose.....in their mind they may think they're doing their best.

prove they are trying to lose on purpose? just because you want them to do something different does not mean you get to decide, the problem here is you, your a control freak who thinks he has the right to dictate to others, if they want to fight from there that's their prerogative,  maybe you do things others don't agree with, should we report you every time, should you be dictated to by others?

It wil get better once you get tired of tiers 1-5, where there are a lot of new players, and move on to mid tier game play.

Doesn't make it any better. Doing wrong for the right reasons is still doing wrong.

Because there is nothing in the rules that says they have to play a tank a specific way, or the way others want them to?. As not everyone is a pro like you. Not saying that HT camping base is good either. But you get my point.

Heck if it was that easy to get people banned, I suspect we all reports that worked for playing too passive vs what most think you should. And the population would be under half of what it is now.
