a fkin slow vehicle can't even take cover before one of there spots him even on the big maps, not to mention mines and ensk

Glad I finished the German arty tree before these arrived, they will be bad news for a stock GW Tiger P.

I think these fast vehicles are pointless on small maps like we have now. I hope that I'm not right, but in my opinion the current maps are too small for this speed.

The days where light tanks really posed a threat for arty players are long gone. I doubt those vehicles will change that. You don't get that "breakthrough" gameplay that often these days.

My initial impression seems to confirm my first thoughts.

 

With it like this it is game breaking. Here are the problems.

 

They are small and fast. good luck trying to snipe them on maps like Maliovka. On such a map this completely wipes out the ability of a LT to use the advance spotting bushes. It will completely change the meta. 

 

LTs are totally screwed for two reasons. 1. the auto lock feature allows the WT to lock a LT (bigger object), but LT cannot auto lock the WT which is smaller and harder to lock. so auto aim is next to useless, you have to aim at the WV and you wont hit him if moving. Even if you do get an auto aim on the WV, because of his size and speed you will not hit him.

 

I have 1vs 1 on BC12t and of my 4 shells, 2 missed completely and 2 failed to pen. the BC12t is one of the faster LTs. If LT cannot counter WT, then LT class is too high risk to use as passive spotter, 1vs 1, etc. LT gets relegated to same role as MT.

 

So basically the WV has no real counter expect pure LUCK.

 

DO you really want your games more determined by LUCK ? because this is what it will be like in 1.4 based on what i have seen so far on CT.

So these wheeled craptanks, do they unlock with the ELCbis? and if so, how much xp roughly, about the same as any tier6 tank xp requirement? If the answer is yes, I might start stock piling some xp then in anticipation.

How many per battle are you seeing on the test server though?

 

It may be that they need limiting and perhaps balancing between teams at least in the early days.

 

Being the only one in a battle on the live server I never considered being that much of a threat.

Why I as an arty player already hate about them in advance is not their speed,

but them not stopping despite even several wheels being damaged.

Why should you be able to easily snipe small fast vehicles? If they are at range, they should be hard to hit and they are little threat because they can't spot.

 

Also they are poor vs lights because of the view range difference, a good light tank player can completely hard counter them by just out spotting them and keeping them pinned back.

 

Countered by luck?

 

No, they will be countered by smart play and good aim.

Yes, it unlocks through the ELC for 32,030 XP.

Thanks, I can also take the opportunity to use the ELCbis to grind that extra crewman needed for the wheels while I'm at it.
