Why is there no 64bit version of the game, the game will run much better on the 64bit systems

Suppose there are still many using 32 bit on low spec PC's.

There is multicore support coming in 1.4

The amount of work required to migrate WoT from 32bit to 64bit would be quite immense and the gain would be rather small, however in the long run I guess they will do so due to various reasons. Apple for example is already starting to drop support for 32bit applications and even though WoT's player-base (as most games) on that OS is rather small Apple have the bad habit of starting trends regardless if they are good or bad.

"much better" meanwhile it runs better and more graphically appealing than any other game I've tried, which happen to be 64-bit games aswell...

It's not needed.

Go home OP.

And you base this statement on... what exactly? I sincerely doubt you have any clue what you're babbling about. As such, refrain from creating pointless threads like this please.

Waiting? It was released almost 30 years ago :-)

https://en.wikipedia...ror_(video_game)

Also supports VGA, EGA and Tandy 1000. Great game, though the Amiga version is superior to the DOS one.

Edit: uh, probably won't work on an 8 bit CPU though. Is there even such a thing as an 8bit IBM-compatible computer?

He won't. He never comes back to his silly spam threads. But even if he did, I doubt that he knows what he is asking for.

First pc I had was an 8 bit, sure it had an 8088 CPU I think.

Then moved onto a 286 CPU, I thought it was the dogs dangly bits as this was 16 bit with CGA!

Ahh the good old days...

Still got my Amiga A500 - pretty sure it still works, although not tried in some years!

Good old days indeed - one of my favourite games to this day...

It's easy. Takes 2 minutes.

First you load all the code in to a string called code.

then you run

code.Replace( "32" , "64" );

And done.

A 64bit game runs better on 64bit systems then a 32bit version because it can process the game better on that system

Can't they just add a 64bit version of the game and add an option to choose between a 32bit and 64bit version of the game like the SD and HD client option so that both 32bit and 64bit users can play the game normally

For example a 64bit OS works better on a 64bit system than a 32bit OS on a 64bit system

The difference is negligible and simply not worth the effort, they are however adding multi-core support next patch and which will make quite the difference.
