I've got a bit of gold left over from the boxes and just wondered what's the best tank for gold you can get that balances fun/credit earning/good. I don't care what tier.Every single tank I've looked at reviews for, says it's crap. Are there any good ones?Fun is my main priority and something you actually want to play.

it depends on what you are good at and how you define fun.

The two most popular tanks sold are the SkorpionG(by a huge margin) and in second place the Pro-ghetto superstar medium auto-reloader. Logically the most popular tanks are the best so... those are they.

Edit- o sorry, you said tech tree. Well, tier8 see's T9 and T10 all the time so you'll probably want high levels of pen as standard and high levels of alpha and good RoF so, that would be the Chinese TD.

It's a stupid question really though tbh. There's no real answer since there would only be 1 tank sold if that were the case that the tank is better than all the others. Price is usually a good guide, more expensive logically is better tank but it also boils down to personal preference i.e. I won a Defender, have not played it, don't like heavy tanks yet the Defender is one of the best OP premiums. Also, if you don't have the same nation as that premium tank you buy then the tank will be sh*t for a long time since playing a tank with a zero skill crew is only ever going to be terrible and ineffective at tier8

Right now, probably Super Persh. Probably, but as the above says - it also depends on your play style and likes :)

I'm average at all of it and define fun as smiling not raging.

Lowe or the wz td

Low tiers you can't go wrong with the T127.

Or if you are incredibly macho the matilda BP.

i recently bought Mutz, STG and Ravioli.... and i own CDC.... CDC is garbage even though i like playing it.... Ravioli have some fun with huge alpha but you have to play like coward which i dont like.... STG is great, i have fun with huge alpha and you can be more aggresive but its frustrating sometimes only because of low DPM.... by far best tank is Mutz, the gun handling allows you to take precise shots and its fast enough to troll with positioning and flanking, has nice DPM, overall best of the bunch... Super pershing would be great if it was faster

of the stuff in tech tree, then probably super Pershing. It's not fast and it's not particular good at anything but it isn't too bad at anything either and you won't be too map dependent since it can work both in hull down positions and city maps. It is not too skill dependent either, so if you are average then it should work pretty well for you compared to many other premiums in the tech tree. Lowe is another ok choice but it is very slow and you might be frustrated with that kind of mobility.

Skorpion G as you will hit at least once or twice in battle and it will make damage enough for 15-20k of silver even in case you die fast. Or Lowe which is most balanced premium right now. Its not 1st line brawler but can fill that role if needed. Great gun, great depression, all in all there are almost nobody in WoT that doesn't like that tank

The Defender.

It almost always sees T10, but it can fight them on most cases with good angling. It has crapDPM, but very good penetration and it's usually possible to pen with AP.

Good stats all over the place that balance out the lack of game diversity, after 13 matches playing as bottom tier it doesn't get boring still.

From the tech tree, Lowe, SuperPershing, or the FV4202. Nothing too fancy.

I forgot one of my favorite TDs, the Strv S1.

I would say Lowe, don't think there is anything readily available which comes close.

I quickly vent through your service list .. You miss the Swedish td's (*if I don't need reading glasses), so an obvious choice will be strv 1. I have +1400 matches in it myself (probably the tank I used the most) Is fun to use since there are many places to use, even in a city maps. It also provides good refund and of course good as crew training. Sure it happands that you have bad games too, but that are team failure not mine: P (right  - j/k)

Fun - then it's also about which 4-5 maps are included in the map rotation in the current version of the game. Since game developers insist not to use more maps in the rotation - despite more maps being in the game (so retarded), so you ending up that the Swedish td´s do not always feel like "fun" to play here. Also the "fun thing" for me will be to overcome the normal places used in the corridor structure on all maps contained in this game. Thinking outside the box is what makes the swedish td's "fun" to use in my world. And of course you will ending up going the "normal" line(s) as the games develop - since you know where 95% of the targets are from the geko, just use that and "farm" dpm for misson and so on..

My favourite tech tree premium....

shot_892.jpg

In my view, it's the best Chinese TD. It's capable of close range brawling/fighting as the armour can actually bounce incoming fire (not all of it, but some). The gun is generally good too, and though often play it a few times a day, you can see that I don't have a need for much gold ammo.

After the WZ, my next choice would be the French TD, which is similar in these respects, but just not quite as good in all cases.

Edit, in case you don't like TD's....3rd choice, the Pudel.

Yea both those td´s is on my favorite among my many td's too... Also lets not forget the US td´s (T7)  the "mini Skorpion" is pure fun to play.

If (as you say) you want a tank you'll actually want to play, get either the VK 45.03 or the A45. They're both good tanks. Don't go tier VIII if more than credits you're looking to enjoy your purchase. Between the two: The German is slightly better than the British but the A45 is (I would argue) more enjoyable as it has a fast-firing gun. Both have the traditionally very good view range of British and German heavies but, more importantly, they're tier VII, which means the difficulty level is a lot lower relatively to what the MM has in store for your eventual tier VIII. Actually, add the Panther M/10 to these two, although I'm not sure it's on the tech tree.

Either one of the three, in this order: Panther, FV, VK 45.03, with the German heavy in last but being better than the British, as previously said.

M4 Rev is a good all round purchase, cheap shells, cheap to buy, plays decently, is not super slow, is very comfortable.

Another recommendation is the Panther/m10 which I think is in the tech tree, its a good all round medium after the buffs and has limited MM.
