I like the idea of Soldiers of Fortune, and were a little hyped. However, I'm not a part of a clan and I don't feel the need to either. But to participate you apparently have to be a part of clan - and that is a little ironic considering that its the Legionaries/Mercenaries that I guess are the "real" soldiers of fortune as they hire themselves out to clans. I'd love if the Legionaries could participate too - even if they're not part of a clan.

Create your own clan, simples.

Right now it costs 1 million silver, not gold.

In military history, mercenaries rarely operated by themselves. They were often organized in mercenary companies.

Like the swiss, until they were "asked" to cool down and stay neutral (1515)
