Anyone noticed that although it does not affect the spotting mechanic, it does give the game away when you are already spotted, behind a rock that the enormous AA gun on top, poking over the rock, tends to give away your moves?

Yeah its a little down side you know exactly what type tank is hiding or comming.

But i still have it on my Is7 wished the put a smaller gun on top

Yeah, because people need to see that AA gun to know what tank it is, and not to just read the name of the tank that floats above you....

I can't speak for Robbie but regarding the OP, I think he's more referring to the fact that you could tell the direction of where the IS-7 Is facing over the cover just by looking at the AAMG.

Well its not always good to see.especially if its a piled up game. 

+ if i dont have to read and see in 1  10 of a sec is7 comming done.

+its also nice indicator which way his turret and gun is pointing,

Tbh I think they look worse than regular IS7s as well so theres not many upsides to that camo imo.

I think it's designed to reduce game toxicity, because you can't put national flags on it.

It's such a minimal disadvantage that I wouldn't bother.

Sure you can see when you rotate the turret behind cover. But the red HT icon above it usually gives it away when you move up to the enemy guns even without the skin.

Good point that I had not considered. I have the skin on all three of my tier X (only three which are three of the four!) but it's worth thinking about, OP.
