You should remove the player name as name&shame is against the forum rule.

yup... protects the guilty... works as intended?

seriously, WG should update their policy that neither links to players' profiles, stat pages, replays or videos are considered "shaming".

negative comments are shaming, yes, but posting the raw information should not be.

IDK but I must agree that I want to know the names of bots. The reporting function indeed doesn't work, but we can work a bit around it? At least know what our team is up to.

I see no evidence that bots are identified in any other way than through the report system and that is probably abused badly enough to totally obscure the genuine bots. At the end of the day players in games (bots or human) is likely more important to WG than eradicating non human players so they turn a blind eye. Additionally, I think its quite a common tactic for botters to actually buy premium tanks and bot them which would make WG doubly loathe to touch them.

There is no need to post names to have example. We all have seen bots or suposed bots.

But there are no proof about this one being botting.

He may have a really unstable connection or something else explaining those abismal stats.

Also because I can't really see any reason to bot on a tier 9 tank...

A tier 5 bot can still farm credit and free exp, but it's totally uneffective to bot at higher tier...

I can't think of one situation where that knowledge would be useful.

It's about farming XP without actually having to play.

Botting at tier 9 is something premium bots can do.

A player suicided right at the start of battle by driving into the lake on Lakeville. I checked his stats and his damage and survival stats suggest that he is doing this EVERY SINGLE BATTLE.

I kept an eye on him for a few days and the same thing all the time. 0 survival, 0 damage. I raised a ticket and got the stock answers I expected.

A month on and he is still 'playing'. 12 battles in 24 hours. None survived. No damage. 30 days. 277 battles. Survived 19. Average tier 6.97. Average damage 11.74 HP.

Does anyone wonder why we think WG couldn't care less?

but then, if you have to spend money, it still more effective to bot at tier 5 and use the money to change exp in free exp, IMO.

WG don't ban players based on WR or performance alone. If he got that WR without using bot programs, WG won't ban him for it. As there is nothing in the rules about being super bad either.

I see the old waypoint bot on low tiers now and then. As they are more tricky to spot among the bad and fresh meat. But on tier 9? Waypoint bots there would be spotted instantly to last long there I suspect. Nor can't I even recall seeing one there last vs a way to passive 43% sitting in base taunting back in chat.

If they were bot farming. I would expect more than 277 battles a month. Back when bots were at their peak in 2012 with idle farming, we had bots doing 200 battles in just over a day. And zero survival rate? If you are to passive as top tier and sit at the back. That's what happens.  I mean most on the intel event had 400 battles a day farming points yoloing in tier III's.

Well, there's rumors or whispers(which are always to be taken with a pinch of salt) that because of dwindling new players to the game, that lower tiers are suffering from player numbers so WG were toying around with the idea of adding bots so the waiting period for a battle is not as long, which can take minutes in some cases.

Now, we know N/A server is on the downward spiral so if WG were not being too open about the state of the current player population then it's perhaps true that all tiers have a certain addition of WG bots once a battle timer hits a certain limit without having enough players to begin that battle. If that's the case, then they're WG added bots so reporting as bot to WG... well... you can see how that would have absolutely no effect whatsoever.

It's the assumption that every sub-par player is a bot that annoys me. Frankly, I question the attitude of the OP when all he can do is name a person he knows nothing about other than a few stats that say nothing about the players environment or lifestyle.

I will guarantee the OP's personal behaviour to those he deems unfit, is questionable at best.

WG's Bots are quite good players - they wouldn't be reported for inaction !
Look on Claus Kellerman's youtube channel for a video called 'Best Game Ever !' - it shows how WG's own Bots actually play

I think that it is far more likely people thinking they can farm up tanks and then sell the accounts.

As this falls under naming and shaming, thread closed and post edited.

If you have concerns like these, please use the in-game report system (I'm aware you're saying it's not strong enough, but if it was too strong people report players who aren't "great" and they get banned).

Thanks,

eek.
