This is not a discussion the MM.

If you want to talk about the MM I would refer you to

http://forum.worldof...cussion-thread/

No I am more interested in your ammunition setup.

I am slowly adding more and more premium to my setup to make sure that I have a fighting chance when I am a low tier in a +2 MM.

But I prefer to use to use the cheaper alternatives when ever possible.

So do the rest of you have the MM in mind when you choose your ammunition setup?

Nope, always take about 1/3 prammo. Sometimes use it, sometimes don't.

I only run prems (and 3 mags HE for decapping should base be occupied by a Strv) in my EVEN, on all else I have a mix. Mostly standards, actually.

1357 is almost exclusively run with standard rounds, I only switch to prems should standard ammo run out or if facing anything heavy jap.

1375 mostly standards

13 105 almost exclusively standard rounds.

Progetto 6 prems.

Type 64 9 prems.

S1 (bad tank, do not buy) there I have a few, but standars got 288 pen so...

...come to think of it those are almost all tanks I play...

And on Strv m/42-57 is almost always prems loaded, due to frequent run-ins with higher tier tanks like japs and those pesky KV-13's that bounce standard rounds like no tomorrow.

No, and i don't think i need to. Obviously the only thing that matters is your tank's standard ammo pen value.

Depends on the tanks to be honest, i usually have like 10-20 % of premium ammo on tanks that have ok pen. A bit more on tanks that have crappen.

I have 5 Premium ammo shells loaded for all my tanks I own.

Usually that's enough, but sometimes I need a few more...

For me it really depends on what the base penetration for the standard round is, and if it's AP or APCR/APDS/HVAP. Then the penetration increase on the premium round comes into play: if the increase is relatively small, and the impact most likely minimal I tend to limit the number of premium rounds. My BatChat 25t AP is one of few exceptions to that 'rule of thumb' as it has low ammo capacity.

Generally have 10-12 premium ammo, 2-4 HE and the rest standard.

Really depends on the standard penetration round of the vehicle in question.

I have a few tanks with no premium rounds carried, because they have high enough standard penetration (T34= USA heavy tier VIII, Leopard 1, K-91 etc).

I have a few tanks with alot of premium rounds (e100, Type 5 etc)

Most of my single shoot tanks I carry a maximum of 4 HE rounds (a few with more but not many).

Generally no HE rounds in auto loaders.

So premium round load out in average tanks runs from 10%-33.33% depending on the standard round penetration.

60% Standard, 30% Premammo (Unless in a Heavy then maybe a bit more) and a slack handful of HE.

Depends on the tank. On tanks with good PEN like the AMX 30 and Cent 7/1 I just have like 5-10 HEAT for the Types. On tanks with garbage PEN like the E50 and M46 I have about 50/50.

Depends on tier.

My tier 5s to 8s generally run 10 - 20 gold shells. Tier 8s get the most because their guns are not up to the MM.

Tier 9s and 10s get 10 gold shells as they generally have the pen to get through weak spots. And they're only there for the Types and Maus.

Nope, I don't load any premium ammo at all, regardless of tank or tier. Usually I take 5-15 HE (depending on ammo capacity) and then the rest is standard AP/APCR. I prioritize the targets I can pen, and if none of them is aviable I try to aim for weakspots (even if it's a 50% chance weakspot). If that doesn't work I use HE but still aim at areas with low armor thickness.

And if HE does 0 damage... well then I'm [edited] and you can blame WG for having rediculous costs on premium ammo :great:
