Most TD missions were a rather "easy" for me (58/60 missions).

This one requires 8k dmg.

:amazed:

My only TD that ever got beyond 8k dmg was WT4, in the course of 1.2k matches.

I am getting a little frustrated, because it does not work out at all.

It seems, that this missison requires efforts on heavy armored TD.

Else I got Grille, JP E-100, researched E4 and E3.

Just started RUS TD line for (TD8 mission of Obj 260).

I hate heavy armor gameplay since I really do not have any idea about it.

Any thoughs (besides using 4 orders)?

Don't know what's your situation with orders but strongly recommend using them to skip it. I skipped TD15 HT15 LT15 because I can't be asked to keep playing the right tank to find myself in the right spot in the right time.

If you can't do that I think only FV4005 and bobject v4 are realistic choices

E4 full APCR and it's doable.

Your best is to try to do it in grand battles. I have been able to do over 8k damage only twice. Once in Obj 704 and once in Strv 103B. Other than these two occasions I have never been able to do it again in any tank and I am going to use orders to skip this mission

More than a year stuck in TD15 and MT15. I've done all other missions with honours (arty excluded).

Grille and grand battles did it for me.

268v4, E3 and E4 are all good for this mission. Grand battles would feed you enough hp to make it happen, those maps got very good TD positions.

Strv could also do it but it's too finicky and situational. I've done almost 10k with that in Mines but good luck repeating that!

Bad team, worse enemy team and Cliff. The right combination is the problem not the TD, i think with an E3 it should be much easier.

Both FVs make this pretty doable

I did it in the Bobject, before the nerf!

Of the tanks you have, E4 is the best choice.

Best option overall is to grind FV 4005.

Just keep trying. You don't need any tips you're an experienced and competent player so you know what you have to do and how to do it. It's one of those sort of things that requires the right map, the right sort of team(slightly terrible meat shields that don't die fast but also don't do much damage), the right sort of enemy team(that are also terrible but attack you're channel in a nice orderly fashion perfectly to you're guns DPM. Not too many at once and not long moments of nobody) and of course some nice RNG always helps too, so far as not too many bs tracking shots or bounces etc, just the kind sort of RNG that picks out a pixel from a mile away on a moving target while other shots ammo rack for a fast 1500 hp while another sets a tank of fire with no fire extinguisher... now and then, you get those sort of "woooohoooo! I just can't do anything wrong!" sort of battles, and you'll bag your 8k or more.

For what it's worth, the Swedish TD's with their insane DPM are pretty good at racking up the dmg but tbh any higher tier TD is going to be bringing the pain you just need the above to happen, everything to fall nicely and no bs. Good luck and... don't get too worked up about it, it will happen when it happens you can't get 8k in the first 2 minutes of a battle but you can sure as hell die in the first 2 minutes so just play normally and if you sniff a chance then go after it if it's not coming to you.

Best choice here is fv4005 and a lucky battle.
My suggestion: go to wot replay page and select tier ten tds and then sort by damage done. You'll see which TD has the most probability to get it. Watch replays, compare to your playstyle, learn from the replays and play!

Unless you have a need for the 260, there's no point using orders on this set as it doesn't unlock a new set of missions.

My suggestion will be:

try to honor MT-15, Obj260 = 1 order (BC 25t AP or BC 25t)

honor all previous Stug/ T28 HTC/ T55A missions = 15 orders

totally 16 orders to unlock the rest 4 final missions for 260...

OP i think it's just a matter of luck rather than the right tank. (which would be confirmed by everyone recommending something different)

I did it twice, once in the E3 on tundra and again on Paris (of all places) in the Poobarn

edit: And im trying to do it a third time to get my orders back from the Chimera mission as i need them for the 279

I'v been trying this myself for a long while. I used the orders from the previous missions, but then i started doing all missions with honors. Missing like 5 missions in total, to get that lovely badge for all missions done with honors, missing  this, next one is SPG -15. And a couple of easier ht missions.

I think the best bet is the FV  4005 , also the Swedish bushwancker can  do it, on the right map with the right team.
