Hello,

I just tried to purchase consumables on the 50% discount (small repair kits and such) and it took me several clicks while it was much more streamlined previously.

Previously it was:

Store > Consumables > Purchase (10sec)

But now it’s:

Store >look around for 3 min> Service > Consumables > 6  scrolls > Purchase (3min 20sec)

I have played 20k+ games, but

I was about to give up on purchasing the consumables after 30sec of not reaching them,

I know they are available for purchase, but I was not able to reach them,

After persisting that they SHOULD be able to purchase,

I reached them and purchased them spending 3+min.

A new player should be able to reach it in 30sec.

An essential for the game item should be easily reachable for new players,

If I was a new player and could not find it for sale in 30sec, I would assume it is not for sale,

As I know it is for sale, I persisted.

The interface is not good for new players.

For old players that would buy several hundreds of various consumables, I would like to have the option easily available.

Regards

Fizrug

I found it a very pleasant experience.  Stocked up on large repair cats, sweet and sour for my Type 59 crew and a couple of dozen auto fire extinguishers.

I liked the old system better...

I stocked up on a lot of equipment.

And made the mistake again to buy arty gun rammers instead of the tank gunrammers.....

Now I've used the new system I can at least find things, but it isn't anything like as easy as it was (or appeared to be) in the past. Using symbols might be an advantage to some but (meaning no offence to anyone in any way) I can actually read. If I want to stock up on consumables, then why do I have to figure out what symbol means what?

For some time now WG seem to have been going for style over substance. Despite the super-large area given over to each mission objective, we still have to click on it for additional information. Stop changing stuff that doesn't flaming need changing!

This whole style-over-usability nonsense happens a lot lately. I guess it has to do with the era of smartphones as well as console ports.
Huge menus spread across the whole screen that offer little information, huge buttons instead of a simple list, which now require you to scroll until your mousewheel glows, fancy look but horrible clarity and usability.

It's a really annoying trend...

Yes it isn't easy to find at all.

They could leave it as is, but make a shortcut from where you put consumables on your tank which would be logical.

Go to tank, choose food, and where it shows how many are in stock you click and you get taken to the store at the right place.

Simple UI.

Nope.

It's Store - first thing you see is a panel of "best" deals - one of those is consumables - click on that - look for the mahoosive icon of the consumable you want to purchase - click on that - type a number - click buy - click affirmative.

Store page is a mess. Just like the missions page.

On the bright side, annoyance with finding consumables can save you some credits if you give up searching for them.

Hello,

Now that I look at it with sober eyes, Yes, there is a big sign at the entrance, but if one would go straight to the department where the items would be expected to be sold, they would have issues to find it.

It is just that to my mind everything seems to be just a few clicks or scrolls further that it is expected.

Also, where did the option to buy ammo went?

Are they not consumables that could be purchased at 50% off for future use?

Maybe I am getting old and the interface is more suitable for the new gaming generation, but considering the pace of the game shouldn't it be tailored for mature audiences?

The option has gone but we have not had half price ammo for a long long time so no point in bulk buying.

Since you can sell the consumables after the sale for full refund you don't really "save" anything..

The era of the 4k monitor and the giant icon.  How did we manage with VGA and SVGA?

I was thinking about a scenario in which someone wants to spend credits on consumables but due the bad GUI and getting lost in the menus he cancels the shopping. And it was a joke ofc.

I got the joke.. The joke just doesn't work if you can't lose any money by buying consumables.. But the interface is horrible..

Crappy design choice, same thing with Win 8s menu

Does any of you even appreciate how good our lives are when this is something to complain about? How about wondering how to get water or food for our kids today instead of how to buy pixel consumables?

Common guys, i agree the menu is more based on looking good instead of being practical but, well...you know...

Yeah, yeah, old fart out

Since about a year ago I think.

You can still convert gold to credits, I'm surprised it doesn't offer to do that for you.
