If you purchase personal reserve in store and activate it WG clock is ticking no matter what are you doing. Are you in battle, in garage or changing crew or internet conn is lost - your payed personal reserve time is ticking. If this is personal reserve for battle time then it must tick only in battle. This is really not fair from WG.

Sorry, you do what?

Is this a thing people do?

And then people start arguing

- it shouldn't tick during countdown

- it shouldn't tick when I'm dead and watching the battle

- it shouldn't tick when I get disconnected

- it shouldn't tick when my PC crashes

- it shouldn't tick when my connection is lagging

- it shouldn't tick when I'm not shooting

- it shouldn't tick when I'm loosing

- it shouldn't tick when I'm bottom-tier

...

Maybe WG should make it not tick at all ...

And for gods sake drop the "no fair" nonsense.

WG has slowed down a bit with giving them away in the last few months. And if you play over 1k battles/month like the OP you can actually burn through them pretty fast.

That's what I thought.

The only reason they exist in the shop is so they have a "value" when they are added to bundles.  Then they can claim you are getting a discount.  It's like the full price sofas in DFS, I actually asked to buy one once and they told me to come back in a week when they would be on sale.

Still no reason to buy them.  In fact if you play that much then you don't need them, you will be making plenty of progress without.

Boosters like that are for people who are short of time.

OP has a fair point, ideally it would be good if they were for a limited amount of battles, perhaps the free ones stay as they are & paid ones change to expire after a number of battles played. Just a thought.

:)

Nobody "needs" them, just like nobody "needs" to buy premium account time. Wether they are worth the price, that's sth. everybody has to decide for themselves.

Rumor is that some people even buy credits in the premium shop ...

Just think why they might have a time limit. ;)

See above, people would then start complaining even more about "unfair battles" when they're running with active reserves and claim that WG wanted to cheat them. Also battle-count is a bit tricky as you can have overlapping battles: reserve is active for one battle, you start with tank A, die, start with tank B, finish with tank B, start with tank C, receive result of tank A. For which battle does the reserve count?

Those things should really be for X amount of battles, like change the 1hr one to 6-7 battles and the 2hr one to 14 battles or something, then people wouldn't be rushing through matches with them on

Reserves for X matches would be good, indeed, but... yeah. Won't happen. There is a reason why we have that kind of stuff in so many games...

That might actually be worse though, depending on where X is set. When you have short matches (either really bad or really good), then the time limit is likely better.

Never bought a one, and as a sub-par player I have literally hundreds.

Then of course people complain how they rig the game against you.  Give you bad teams.  And now apparently, remove the ability to plan one or two hours of your life.

What next - premium time for x battles. Another idea I would actually go for - but will never happen.

I can often have as many as 3 tanks in battle one time :)   Sometimes I just can't bear to watch my teams and even if I die in first 3 minutes I still get top 5 often....

Personal reserves are advertised to work for 2 hours.

Personal reserves indeed work for 2 hours.

Case closed.
