I want to praise the great work that was done with preferential MM tanks.

 

It's absolutely excellent to play Type 59 (and all other preferential MM premium tanks), there's no better game experience than these matches with a single MM  template 5 - 10

 

If you got the chance to drop few hundreds bucks to get your hands on those tanks I recommend you to do it

Actually Type 59 should be pretty good in tier 9 matches...Not sure why you complain. Isn't it the best tier 8 pref mm tank ? It is a way better T8 medium than most of the tech tree ones that see tier 10 battles.

There is nothing to complain, I was praising the excellent 3 5 67 MM template that works perfectly ( 5 - 10 in case of preferentiall MM).

 

Of course it's the best tier 8 in World of Tanks, I would say it's overpowered, farming Type 4 heavies blindfolded

 

There is a reason why it was used to hype loot boxes and events after all

 

(actually all PMM tanks are overpowered KV 5 even more)

But Type 59 is actually pretty good as pref MM tank. Turret armor + 7 degrees of gun repression still work in tier 9 games. Competely OP in regular 3-5-7 MM.

 

I have played 112 also, and it's not actually also that terrible because at least it has a crapton of armor and the HEATs. But the needed playstyle is just bit too boring, and its slow.

 

EDIT: For credit purposes, I would just play AMX 13 57 all day.

Type 59 is pretty awesome right now. It was good before the buffs to pmm tanks and now it's really stronk. 

 

I'll be driving mine a lot in the frontlines soon.

That's a good idea, have to try it.

 

From last Frontlines, the lesson for me was I need something with actual armor.

Type 59 is better than most regular tier 8 meds that have to see tier 10. It has good mobility now, good gun handling and very good armour for a med (coupled with good gun depression for a 'dome' turreted tank). 

 

About its only weakness these days is DPM. 

 

Odd one to complain about.

Just got back after a few days away, and I've decided to play a few more meds, and whatnot.

I have a Type 59, and I keep hearing about all the buffs, so I may just give mine a dusting down. And show off my new paint job.

I'll be the nicely painted '59, in flames at the side of the road.

I don't know. I came to the conclusion that no pref MM tank is worth to be used in Frontlines.

And it makes sense. If they were as good as regular T8 tanks, they wouldn't get pref MM.

Ya, but WG buffed them this year. Before that, Type 59 was pretty mediocre.

FYI Type 59 has a 10mm more frontal turret armor than the tier 9 WZ120, and better gun depression and never meets a TX

 

Play a T-34-2 then complain about under powered T8 meds

type is just a worse t-44, the pref mm is nice thou, it is what the the tank needed, or a buff.

First of all your sarcasm is very mediocre and kinda boring already. If you did not noticed everyone is bashing and raging against the 3-5-7 mm and the tier 8 issues from day one it was implemented. WG is aware of it.  Your thread is adding nothing new just more useless frustration.

 

Then I must ask... why do you need to encounter Type 4 heavy frontally ? You are a medium tank with good mobility, your role is not to brawl against Type 4.

 

WG said that buffing the preff mm tanks was only the first step in this problem, the next step is fixing the mm so ofc the preff mm tanks are not yet top dogs, just wait like everybody does. Adapt in the given situation that is all !
