was thinking about that ...and got another great idea:

 

what if some shells like AP or APCR would lose penetration over distance ? ...that would also be a nice change :popcorn:

They do but it doesn't make much diffrence currently. They did try to implement at a greater magnatiude it but it didn't work so great :/

your removed post was about effective armor values ... which are already in the game

 

you want game mechanics which are already in the game without you realizing it ... after 10k battles

Nope, not at all!

 

please read the post carefully.

 

if you have a hard time imagining here is an example:

 

currently tiger 1 can easly penetrate t29's upper frontal plate (go to tanks gg if you wana see it). İf my idea was in the game, it really would have had trouble going penning.

Here is an better example for you:

 

8.8cm kwk. 43 L/71 (Tiger 1 gun) has a penetration of 203 mm at 100 meters against a target that has 150mm armor frontaly at 90 degrees

 

it STİLL has 203 mm penetration at 100mm if it hits a plate that is EFFETİVELY 150mm armor at 60 degrees ( so imagine 100mm plate angled or something)

 

I say it should have LESS penetration against the EFFECTİVELY 150mm armor angled at 60 degrees
