greetings,

i was wandering after playing for a while why noone asks about the player levels in the game.i mean it could even help on matchmaking right? plus it gives you the feel of being "older player" or "more experienced".any way i dont know if there is an other way to contact the developers to give some more feedback or recommendations. anyway im open for some discussion :D

Well. For a start you could tell us what exactly you are talking about. Elaborate a bit.

Despite being older.....I'm just average, so would that help the matchmaking?....would it take pity on me?:hiding:

Age based matchmaking?

Every team gets three 50+ players, five 30 to 50 and seven under 30?

I wonder which would be more conniving/sneaky?

The age or the angst....

He means Ranked battles linked to skill level like in a league only play players ranked roughly at a smilar level according to WN8 or some other rating like in football or chess..

Won't work as I dont think there's enough players most of time on the server generally speaking... Unless in a tournament but that sort of exists and clan battles of course well you could do a league type thing for clan wars.. Maybe for skrimishs would be better have a league it might increase interest in playing it, especially smaller non unicum clans, say when Clan Wars are not on but less intense say on weekends when there are more players..

what i mean is for example leage of legends has levels i dont know how it helps there i dont play but here in wot it could come handy in many ways.for the matchmaker... -+5 or 10 levels from your level maybe? it could bring some aesthetics such us different emblems with the level.or maybe even awards starting from consumables and ending up to premium tanks(of course it wouldnt be that easy).for me making a game better it isnt always about new graphics or more maps, just little things that "renew" the gameplay.

for the age i didnt mean it that way for example someone who played more than 4 years if he was 100+ level he would feel a bit older in the game if you get me

I think you are getting experience at the game mixed up with skill - the 2 do not go hand in hand as my entirely average stats admirably prove. As discussed elsewhere ad infinitum skill based MM wouldn't work. And having leagues is just another form of SBMM.

For players in your position, it will be precisely so at start.

But what is your long-term plan for this levels system?

Will you actually improve or be stuck down there?

no it would never stop maybe after a specific level you could get a prestige and start from level 1 again but the point here is that with many ways mentioned above plus much more with some imagination it could be a good update.am i right?

Can we link this to the tiers then? Those young'uns have an advantage anyway, they can compensate for being an additional tier lower. I'm fine being mid-tier versus top tier grandpas respectable elderly gentlemen :teethhappy:

I don't get it. Is it a duration or a skill measurement ? Cause a lot of players proves everyday that those two things are not related at all.

If it's a skill measurement, then WG already failed it and it's called PR. You also have ranked ranks and it's another failure.

If it's about time played, then i'll not spit onto getting free rewards just for playing, but i don't think this have any interrest beside getting free stuff

I have an idea..  you know those useless announcements you get that pop up on your screen  "You have won 19,000 battles way to go"   which actually do NOTHING.

How about they do something.    Every 1k wins give someone a "level" in gold. It doesn't have to be much.

Good idea! I know, I know!

It could with in tiers!

For example 1 to 10!

each tier requires more...something....more...EXPERIENCE! Yes that's it!

Reaching tier 10 will require a good deal or time!

And then tiers could play against each other with eg. +-2 tiers!

I wonder why WG never thought of implementing a system like that.

This would encourage botting so it's a no no

World of Warships has account levels; they gradually unlock stuff so newbies don't get overwhelmed.
