I played the game on PS4 to tier 3 when I first downloaded it months ago and saw nothing special/different. From the PC version.

I started  playing the game on PS4 again this week after my friend requested that I should get a tier 5 tank so that we could toon together...

I started looking at the tech trees for a tier X tank that I wanted to grind and after some games pass tier 3 I saw some cool/wierd stuff...

First of all WT Auf E-100 is still in the game on PS4, and some other tanks are still there, both old birtish tier X, FV215b and (183) and the chieftain that has not made it to PC yet (for all I know)

A lot more New premium tanks, (bought a T-34-88 and i Love it)

A lot more maps and they are great, El alamein was A instant favorite.

Frankly, I think the PS4 version is better even tho I like playing the game with M&K more than I do with a controller.

So the point is, why? Why the diffrence?

Id Love to see (some of the) PS4 versions ideas, tanks and maps to be brought on PC.

You can zoom in PS4 as well but just once, I think its the 18xzoom, and then theres the 2x and 3rd person

I started on PS4 for about 8000 battles before switching to PC.

Much prefer PC I mean MUCH. Controller sucks compared to mouse and keyboard.

Fair play to the devs working on ps4 though they seemed to implement changes quickly and lots of different features that affect gameplay such as weather which the PC doesn't have. Also missing clipping Maus out in the waffle!

I was statistically better on the ps4 though, I kind of put that down to the player base. Seemed younger, more yolo and less experienced on ps4.

Yeah the weather is nice. It really kicks in the feel of game that is ready.

There is so much diffrence in little things, how and why is this? So much crew skills/perks, tanks and maps. It makes it so much more pleasing to play.

As the game must have been a direct copy from the PC version at the start, how did it evolve to this beautiful game? For example WT auf E-100 was A huge Problem on PC so it was removed from the game, But its still on PS4, was there no Problem to beginning? is this really the end times for WoT on PC?

"PC Master race"... BAH, step aside PC gamers, the New era of console gaming is coming.

Not really.

The different versions can apparently pull from the same pool of tank models but other than that they are different games.

So for instance the T-34-88 could make it to PC (and was in the original forecast German tree back in 2010).

Any info why the T-34-88 did not make it?

And in PS4 the T-34-88 is a soviet tank, interesting...

Playing WOT on a joy pad is like trying to play the piano with oven gloves

Yeah it sucks mushrooms, I use the "driver" controls where R2 is forward and L2 is reverse, left analog just turns the hull. Its much more manageable than the full analog steering.

I doutb that PS4 version is better...

Perhaps it seems better to you, because the average level of player should be way inferior to what you see on pc...

so it must be feel better to you, because its easier to get results.

That is True I admit that.

But there is more things that I like about the PS4 version as I mentioned above,

Maps and weather is a big factor as the game has the right kinda feel IMO

I have, the default settings for driving (all movements are made on the left analog stick) was really bad, but the "driver" settings are way better, and it can become possible to move your tank with the dpad in future updates... Then the controls would be WAY better and maybe even supperior to PC controls. Only down side with the driver settings is that I have to use the R2 and L2 to move and L1 is for firing and R1 for zoom so it makes it a bit clumsy. But I am getting used to it.

So to sum up: default controls was bad,

Driver controls are good

Dpad controls (that might or might not come) would be even better.

Lots of things didn't make it.

Captured Japanese tanks in the US tree, German KV-2 (which I believe console has), all sorts of stuff.

Yes I see, but *why* they did not make it?

Too OP? Too much work for WG? Some other stuff?

Personally I would love to see cross play and progression across the platforms but apparently there is too much difference between the games and the coding to join them too impossible from answers before,

Still I can’t see why at least Xbox and PS4 could not have C&P enabled as they are the most similar.

Would put more players on console extending longevity of the game which can’t be a bad thing for WGN, problem is C&P doesn’t seem to be on their agenda but it should be.

Yep, being able to play with the same account on PC and consoles would be nice but as I have noticed you gain XP in PS4 REALLY fast, only 20 games from tier 2 to 6 and 20 games more to unlock tier 7, if this keeps up I am sure to have a tier 10 after 200-300 battles, so the time you have to grind is much MUCH shorter.

Id Love to see (some of the) PS4 versions ideas, tanks and maps to be brought on PC.

Console version is made by a different studio. It was called Day one studio. But after the game went live on 360. WG bought them up and renamed them Wargaming Chicago. They still folllow the same rules. Can do what they want, add what they want, take what they want on the dev server and add to their game. And decide on their own if they want to remove or rebalance something. No one forced them to take out the T18 as a TD and make it an SPG. Or even remove the tier X's we have removed. Nor have they removed any map... ever. And that last point is why I don't really love the console version to much. I love seing Port again. But some of the maps removed from PC was removed for a reason. And those constant lemming fails and 70% vs 30% wins on some maps shows why. But WG Chicago don't mind it, and keeps them in there.  And you can't turn off other modes. So assault etc is forced on you, even if you hate it. Not everything is... way better there tbh. Tho some things are.

That and WG Chicago have made more exclusive deals vs WG PC. As in with Darkhorse comics etc. So most of their tanks are never coming to PC.
