Since we have one for British I think our Swedes need to have an alternative too :girl:

I would like to have an option for premium consumables:

Surströmming food consumable

Effects: +10% to swedish crew skills, permanent stun to all non swedish tanks within 500 meters :hiding:

I thought it was something only given to gullible tourists for the amusement of their Swedish hosts

Well to be honest there ain't that many Swedes that enjoy surströmming either, it's kinda like Casu marzu, a select few that stick with traditions enjoy it but the overall population don't. Stuff like meat sauce and spaghetti, meatballs with mashed potatoes and lingonberry, cinnamon buns, coffee, licorice, sausage stroganoff, julmust, mulled wine and gingerbread cookies are stuff that's a lot more common (depending on the season).

Personally I think we should have "Cinnamon Roll with Coffee", since that's so damn Swedish that it's annoying to go to business meetings and visit people since it's the normal stuff people serve at every occasion they can and believe me Swedes can't meet without it, we are after all one of the worlds largest coffee consumers per capita.

I believe surströmming is a tourist trap, or maybe a canned biological weapon. :izmena:

Well we scrapped the S-Tank so we got to have something to deter the Russians from invading!

They (WG) got it right. Coffee and cinnamon buns is spot on.

...but IF it was to be something else, it would be ärtsoppa och pannkakor (pea soup with small pieces of pork, with pancakes, whipped cream and strawberry jam as dessert) preferably served with some warm "punch" which is a sweet arrak based liquor at about 25% alcohol content. Normally punch is supposed to be served chilled or iced (but never on the rocks) but when served with ärtsoppa och pannkakor it is served warm or hot.

Isn't the national dish of Sweden meatballs with ligonberry sauce?

Every time I go to Ikea that's what I have, flat pack food....

That one is also very Swedish, for sure. But it contains no booze...

There is no national meatball day in Sweden, that's USA thing.

4th october is the cinnamon bun day in Sweden.

Tried that dish once, nearly gave me 'the boak'. F*ck knows what that sauce/gravy is but wouldn't have surprised me if it was Moose or reindeer jizz.

Ever since, I always suspected Swedish cuisine to be absolutely bonkers and after watching an episode many years ago of Anthony Bourdain's: No Reservation's my theory was confirmed beyond all doubt.

I mean, what the actual f*ck?

You lot leave Swedish cuisine alone, they are legends. They put doner kebab meat on pizzas. yes. the two best fast foods in the world combined into one!

Pizza is huge in Sweden, saw some statistics on it and we got 1 pizza place per 2500 person or so. We throw most things you can imagine on our pizzas, like a burger for example:

That's not a pizza.

that's a burger meal covered with dough. Did they put a coke in there too?

In Finland we call that torstai.
