Fench armor cars. A valuable addition or just rediculous?

I am now playing the tier 9 french armored car. My impression as of now: the tier 8 became playable once  you learned to handle it. Tier 9 is too fast and turns so easily it is uncontrollable. These things are supposed to run circles around other tanks? Impossible, since the slightest sideways movement causes the armored car to skid. Turn radius changes with speed, which makes these things uncontrollable. You never know what happens when you try to turn.

I have also gotten destroyed couple of times simply by hitting a rock, after which the armored car made a barrel roll jump and fell on its side. So in this game you can get killed by hitting a one-metre high rock on the ground? Stupid.

The tier 9 vehicle feels like it has no connection to gravity. Also, absolutely laughable habit to turn front backwards if you try to turn it on sloped surface at speed. Also the tier 9 has the same gun than tier 8, which at tier 8 was already too weak. At tier 9 it is a pea-shooter most of the time.

EBR 105 can bounce 15cm shots that overmatch EVERY part of their armor, on paper, gg rng (i shot one of those in my Grille15, got blocked/bounced).

That's some next level BS.

Whether they are good or bad in the game I will leave to others to argue about.

 

They have their weaknesses and do need to be well driven to achieve anything worthwhile.

Sure they cannot be tracked but damage to the wheels causes a lot of problems for the A/C

Steering gets much worse and speed drops to about 50% though this depends on the vehicle as we have 4 6 and 8 wheeled A/Cs

You usually lose crew members as well.

 

They cannot steer like a tank does so no rotating in place to turn you must move forward or back and you have a limited angle you can turn the wheel.

In some terrain it gets to be a problem.

You and up stuck against a rock or similar and have to micro manage it forward back forward back.

 

Open ground no problem and the wheels seem incredibly resistant to leaps that would track a tank on landing.

This may be realistic wouldn't know.

 

The auto aim is very useful its what tanks could have before it was declared illegal so that's a bit of a sore point with me as a light tank fan.

The gun handling is superb this gives it an edge you can race along spot a target right click somewhere near the enemy and get a lock on, fire on the move and probably hit.

Stop and you almost certainly will hit they really are good at that.

 

They have speed and gun handling and are usually played badly, reminds me of the early days of the E25 once players started using the camo instead of charging around like idiots they became way more dangerous.

Right now they are mostly played as a fun tank and I don't think that will change apart from the few players who take the time to make them work.

 

Then you might be in trouble.

Ever had an enemy shell bounce off the wet-paper armour your Grille15 has?

 

I have, plenty of times. RNG works both for and against you.

 

Did you call next level BS when your wet-paper armour bounced a large calibre enemy shell or did you simply giggle and play on?

They are all fairly balanced except tier 10. Tier 8 and 9 could go up a tier, increase view range a bit and maybe dpm. I think would make the line more balance.

Just to add, my small exp with ebr 105 is basically, kill enemy ebr 105 early game = game is won. Super fun game to play when there is no enemy EBR because it´s so damm OP! Grille that shot twice into my wheels for zero dmg, sry man, learn to aim :P (joking, this tank is OP) Its a love hate relation, I love to play it, hate to deal with other EBR's

They would be an addition to the game if teamkilling was enabled again and the team that was first in killing all WV's (yes, green and red) got extra XP and credits....

 

No, i don't like them. I am to much of a gentleman to ignore their 'help' or pings but in my heart i would love to ignore them completely.

I bought the EBR -FL10 just for frontline as maps so big.

 

WOW

 

This thing is as good as i hoped.  

 

Super fast and a good gun that seems to pen more often than it should.  

 

3rd person accuracy is amazing (that built in auto snap aim thingy)  sniper accuracy as expected good.

these wheelies make frontline massively frustrating to play.  needless to say i don't have one but they really unbalance the game format

Imo adding wheeleed vehicles was a huge mistake, it ruins the game (even more as it is ruined already) slow heavy brawl, 1 side has won, we push into mediums, its close game 50/50) when an ebr pops up behind, hitting an ebr with slow guns is impossible so GG, nice game so far, would have been nice last part (win or defeat), and fucked over, nice...

 

Either nerf these things to dust, or remove them altogether (haha, like WG will ever do that)

Ridiculous hitscan derps often hitting for 200+ damage while regular lights don't have that alpha.
