Anyone has any tips as how to play this tank and his close cousin T-44? I am pulling around 1400 average dmg which puts me right at the first mark and I am having difficulty reaching 2nd mark. That's definitely decent machine, I am just struggling to figure out my role in the battle.

Seems like people perform really well in this tank.

  • Snipe
  • Stay away and preserve hp
  • Carry a good amount of APCR
  • Use the good mobility to switch flanks if you see an advantage some where on the map
  • If you're forced into a confrontation, try to stay hull down

Pretty generic advice for a paper medium. Basically the longer you stay alive, the more damage you'll do.

Mediums often feel the need to go "somewhere", maybe because of the mobility! What i actually found is that the better the player, the less he moved around the map in relation of course to the timing of the battle and its rhythm .

Oh yeah I definitely move around a lot and try to help my teammates. Sometimes I just find it difficult to find any opening. Oh well perhaps it just comes with experience or willingness to take some risks.

Tier 8 and 9 tds are scary.

Thank you for confirming that. When you're not sure what to do or there are still a lot of unspotted enemies, don't do anything. You don't have to go anywhere till you've a clear picture of what you'll be doing and which tanks you'll be facing.

That is, i think, the beauty of medium tanks. You're quite independent in movement with a lot of firepower unlike lights!

I don´t have the T-44-100 but I have 3-marked both the T-44 and Mod.1. If you want to reach the 2nd mark you will have to pump out a little bit more damage and assist. I don´t know the requirement for 2nd MOE but 3rd is around 2400 for the T-44 and 2600 for the Mod.1. I think the T-44-100 is a tad stronger than both of them so most likely you need 2600+ for 3rd and probably around 2200 for 2nd. Keep in mind though that when you are going for marks spotting is your friend. I never ever 3-marked a tank by redline sniping. You want to be closest to the enemy for that lovely assist...

The T-44s are extremely good tanks and they are all viable even when bottom tier. Viewrange is your best friend so make sure its maxed out. When bottom tier focus on assist and when those rare top tier games come you need to really go ham and just murder everything.

Can add much to the comments here but the T-44s are all great tanks but have suffered a lot like most T8s in the 3-5-7 format.

The all come into thier own in Frontlines, Both the Mod 1 and the 44-100 are in my favourite tanks list.
