Clan Discord: https://discord.gg/dgfqCU8

(Full of ex-clan members who seem to hang around for some reason, special guests who are massive 'rhymes-with-punts', top level chats, banter, and occasionally some people trying to play tonks)

-MM are Recruiting again!

We are re-building the clan and looking for new active players to join us in advances, skirmishes and long term to take part in CW campaigns.

About -MM

As our Lord and Saviour, founder of -MM, the Great Mungo puts it -

 Evil_Mungo, on 11 August 2014 - 12:50 PM, said:

[-MM] MadMen is a popular clan of very capable players that is founded on the principle that skilled players can compete with low drama.  It is possible to play4funtm and still be good at winning games, carrying randoms, and winning tanks.  We have built up a solid group of players very quickly that are active and able to win games.  We would like to continue doing so.

Evil_Mungo, on 06 December 2016 - 02:49 PM, said:

[-MM]Madmen Threads Matter is a unique clan that goes beyond the extrajudicial closing down of our threads by vigilante moderators.  It goes beyond the narrow clan loyalties that can be prevalent within some tryhard communites which merely call on clans to have gudfites with other clans and then post memes about it.  It centers those that have been marginalised by 'The Man' across the entire gender spectrum, from the white cisgendered -MM to the strangely sexually charged clanwars clans, it centers those that have been marginalised by previous endgame liberation movements.

Also, we play tanks and this is an on-topic recruitment thread.

We want to continue those traditions and build a new community of -MM players, this is a social clan who also want to have some fun and banter with mates whilst beating some other peeps in team based game modes.

The clan has been around since 2014, it regularly competed with top clans on an almost equal footing when we were all paying attention and less than half the team were not too drunk. Like this time we beat our feeder clan -

It competed in multiple campaigns, usually achieving our goals of getting the reward tanks for those that wanted it and this is something we want to do again in the future. But in the meantime we want to build up a core of 25-30 active players to do skirmishes, strongholds, advances etc. with, to escape the horrors of randoms.

If you want some more history of the clan and what you are potentially letting yourself in for, then look no further than our massive previous recruitment threads here -

http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/602419-mmmadmen-third-generation-recruitment-thread-for-recruitment-and-only-recruitment/

http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/594470-the-new-madmen-mm-clan-recruitment-topic-and-general-marginalization/

You can also see examples of our excellent teamplay in the below videos -

Requirements

Wn8 is a pretty crap metric these days, but we are probably looking at least 54 - 55% WR overall and around 2k WN8 recents, as long as they are in the right tanks and the right tiers, not clubbing the living hell out of people on tier 4 with your £100 Pz. 2J. If you don't quite meet the requirements you might still get in if you can convince us that you are a stand up chap or you have a sexy Barry White esque voice.

Tanks required are all the usual powercreep suspects on tier 8 and 10, if you don't have the tanks or are at not least grinding them then you can't expect FCs to pick you much come CW time, unless they are really really drunk.

Ultimately as well you'll need to integrate with the community, be active, be on the discord and be able to take a ribbing because as Mungo (first of his name, lord of the seven forums, purveyor of all things pink and fluffy) put it - 'You need to be impossible to offend because we will try, regularly and vociferously.' As stated, the aim is to get a good core of players who know what they are doing and who we can progress with towards the goal of entering campaigns again, so at the very least you have to be willing to get shouted at obscenely for doing exactly what the FC told you to do, even if it ends badly like this -

FCs with experience are also warmly welcome, though clicking a map once in a tier 6 skirmish and going 'yolo'  does not count.

Command Team

Long Range Sniper - http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/user/long-range-sniper-500459908/

Forumite, Philanthropist, dirty Bert player, former Dinger, drew the short straw to be Commander, direct all complaints his way.

tajj7 - http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/user/tajj7-518696999/

Forumite, Voice of Reason, long term -MM sufferer member, mod battler, wasted too many hours debating with Element6, here to look pretty from all his stats padding.

Aikl - http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/user/aikl-500495820/

Former Forumite, possibly Finnish, in charge of all things Discordy, definitely doesn't play the Type 5, contact to get humiliating tags on the Discord.

Shnuks - http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/user/shnuks-503908339/

Former Forumite who went down in a blaze of glory, keyboard warrior literally, former glorious leader now semi-retired, acolyte of the way of the Mungo, contact as a last resort.

If you like to apply then either hit us up with a PM, apply the usual way or come chat to us on the Discord (link is near the top)

I was going to add more about the historic -MM Windstorm GP event we are also going to resurrect but this post has already got massively long so we will deal with that in another thread.

Don't forget the soon to be resurrected GP events as promoted by Shishx

Book early to avoid the rush..........people are already starting to join to get a place on that starting grid.

Now we just need _Dunc_ to redesign a new track with the demise of Windstorm (maybe Minsk)

Man, that's the weirdest tajj7 post i ever seen. Not that I dislike it! :)

Get on with the good work and hope you will find some time for TBs too, so we don't get 1:30 minutes to wait before a battle while doing Dingers TB. ;)

Of course i have no affiliation with -MM and absolutely don't know anybody, but i heard that the discord also offers support groups for various games, financial advice, history debates, views on recent and past political issues and ideologies and they also offer a metaphysical corner.

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

-MM Discord is like being in the Hall of Kings where sage wisdom from players of old is chiseled into the marble of the game.

As a friend of multiple -MM members, I can attest to the above, and add that you can always rely on fellow -MM members for fashion advice. :)

Did we order the stock of white trousers for the usual debate about who can carry them off?

Turns out the white trousers are out of stock, along with black shirts and ties with 'loud' patterns.

There is however currently a fire sale on dietary advice books. Titles include:

The Slobonian's Guide to Carnivorism.

Finnish Purebred - Frying for a superior graze

101 uses for your Air Fryer.

How I realized coconut-flavoured soy milk tastes like Dutch baby batter.

The Marksman's guide to proper Scotch.
