I have encountered a number of them in battles, and they were a minor annoyance at most.

no viewrange, no armor, bad pen, bad DPM... does anyone here actually like these things?

I've decided to pass on the wheelies.

If they make a marathon for the tier 8 you can get that, at least with a discount, and play it in FL. Beyond that i can't think of anything useful to do with those "vehicles", can't even call them tanks!

Not fast, can't see anything, poor DPM. Yet still hard to drive. Why on earth you don't want one? :playing:

I totally agree with you...

Personally, I think they are an abomination, and a massive carbuncle on the face of an otherwise decent game! Give them a separate game mode and let them go play on their own I say!  :izmena:

The main issue presently  are the dozens of ELC light tanks that are proliferating in matches.

Last night I was in a match that had 8 LT’s on each team

It’ll die off once the sheep get bored though

To continue; Taking out a 13 57F with a proper crew on an open map. It's just so funny how these wheelies just pop out spotted at once, and you can shoot them from the bushes without getting spotted. Personally don't care if someone drives them or not.

The tanks are out for only a few days and I've seen nothing but complain-topics about them.. you seriously think that most of the players who got these tanks spend time playing them on the test server and know how to play them? I remember Quickybaby saying that he finally got how to play the premium Panhard after playing 60 battles in it... he's a skilled player, so it says a lot about how most of the playerbase will perform in them, at least for quite some time after starting to play them.

I've played about 30 games since the patch, the most remarkable thing about them to me is how few of them there seem to be. I have noticed fleets of ELC's from those players without the free XP to pick the T6 up straight away... but I've played several games grinding T9s and rarely have I seen a higher tier wheelie

290m stock viewrange on a tier 6 light is not really tempting...

Yeah but his playstyle is quite passive. He didnt keep moving with it, while its the number one thing to do in these. Not hard thing to figure out either. These fit for aggressive players like Skill etc.

I think the extra speed is fun and I will play them. Effective they are not.

I really don't like the marathon idea though. I like the EBR 75 and I want to buy it at a normal 25 euro for a tier 8 light. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK WG!?

Spoiler

I have no time to play a dumb marathon. And I don't think I should spend 50 euro on a bad tank I happen to like.

Now all players that have a shtload of time, a full garage etc. Will get it for cheap and dont even bother playing it.

This sucks imo.

No interest in these whatsoever.

Poor move by WG

I've been tooling about in the Tier VI for a bit...

Crap view range is the main problem, and the inability to carry Binoc's...

I like to try and play a skaut as a spotter, and these are too short-sighted to do it effectively. I have put a 3-skill crew in it (BiA, Camo, Recon and Sit Aware, if you care), and it still can't see much past it's own nose...

Also, as the dynamics of the wheeled chassis are rather different to those of a track, the turning-circle is stupid... doing 9-point turns in Himmelsderp is just bloody annoying!

The Tier6 does have a reasonable gun (strictly in my opinion, natch), at tier, and no worse armour than the conventional LT at tier. Being able to keep crawling, even with badly damaged wheels, rather than coming to a dead stop when tracked, is a bit of a help *sometimes*.

Feels like a one-trick pony, from here, that trick being flat-out speed, and the ability to go backwards really quickly!

At the moment, they are mostly being raced about by idiots, so it's like MarioKart out there sometimes, but as I don't subscribe to the "30sec Lifespan Suiskaut" school of gameplay, it's mainly just annoying.

I'll persist for a couple of tiers, or until a large body of evidence/opinion has had time to develop... By the time I get to T8, I expect the fuss to have died down, and I can get on with playing them as fast TDs...

yeah, they are bad..  play them like some sort of very mobile td.   accuracy is good.,  but what these trucks need is a turning buff,  the turning circle is huuge!

Atm the tier 6 is useless as a scout. The 300m view range, you need to be so close to spot anything based on how spotting calculations work if you are up vs a good camo tank. And the speed and turn rate is so bad to do the other roles WG wanted for them. It's not really that good vs other tracked lights it faces. Luckily the tier 7 is a big jump on that area.

But... I'm warming up to it as a bully tank. I'm running a build on it that's 100% gun focused. Uses mainly HE on it. Vs my other tier 6 lights, his average assist is half. But he has over 2x the average damage than anyone of them.

BTW they changed the gold value for the EBR 75 to 7000 gold. If you can't do the marathon or don't want the bundled stuff just wait for the EBR to be on sale in the premium shop without the bundle after the marathon.

There is a split in opinion between players about the current marathon format, i do agree that the bundle's price can be too high because of the added stuff but my problem with those marathons is not that. It's the really bad game play they bring to the servers.
