This table shows, in my opionion, one of the main problems of the new premium tanks: They are better than the standard version.

On the old days they were a bit worse than the standard ones but you got more money and crew xp.

Wargaming still claim that the premium ones are considered to be a bit worse than the standard. I think they wrote in the description of the update for the IS-3A or I heard it in a recent video of them.

Anyhow you can clearly see that this is not the case for this and some other new, mainly T8 premium tanks. The standard one is better at some stats but not a lot better and just for not so important ones hull traverse speed and gun angles just 1 addition ° for down and up in comparisson to the 41D.

Just the old "bad" premium tanks stay as bad as they were. Like the Pz IV/V (or was it V/IV?) witht the short 7,5 gun as a Tier6. Hard to do anything with that one, especially agains T8s.

I would like to see weaker premium tanks or Buff the old ones to be more competetive after all the new tanks which were introduced.

And story is the same, just one more premium that is better than the standard. It's waste to mention anymore, the game is worst because of that by every day. But WG is on his way to money glory, that's the goal, not the game....

Amen. The T8 tech tree bulldog is arguably the worst T8 light by FAR in its current configuration. The "Black dog / GF" wasn't overpowered enough or didn't sell enough 'copies' and hence you lot decided we are in need of another premium vehicle that is far superior to the tech tree version. If you ever wonder why your player numbers keep steadily dwindling down shoot me a message and I'll explain it in language so simple even you lot at Wargaming will understand.

The only thing I get from that article is that the M41D is miles better because it has better gunhandling and much better penetration (the only important things in a light tank if you don't play passive spotter).

The only thing the "free" bulldog has is a bit of mobility which is useless on most maps in most engagements anyway.

So Blackdog is better then the free version and now the M41D is better then the free version.

I've played a few matches in the M41D so far and it's a very solid light tank, basically what the free bulldog should be.

I want this, but cannot play LT's or any other tanks before trolls jump in, so at lease  save my money, WG needs a try before you buy scheme, sales might go up then.

A lot of new tier 8 premium tanks seem balanced for the current 3/5/7 MM, ie better than tech tree tier 8.

Will be interesting to see if MM is actually improved, what new premiums will look like. Worse tanks don't seem very appealing

My final stats after 5 rental battles:

100% winratio.

1560 avg. damage per game (Got one-shotted by a KV2 in the last match so actually only managed to do 900 in the last game and die "early").

1181xp avg. per game.

12,62% gun mark.

All in all a very completive tier 8 light tank with some features all T8 lights should have in reality.

Will I be picking up one? I don't think so unless someone gifts it to me. I already have the Type62 (which tier for tier is better since viewrange and camo do really matter for T6-7 lights) and I own the Type64 which I don't really like.

As for Tier 8 lights, I think I have more then enough at the moment and I really don't see a benefit to having a 3rd Chinese LT trainer.

Thanks to Azakow for the rental key.

The day they removed the autoloader from the M41 standard is the day i stopped playing it.

Its a huuuge scout. Slow, especially now with the new wheeled vehicles. Compared to other scout with armor, it stands no chance.

Add the original M41 with autoloader as premium, that would be interesting..

So, another premium tank that's profoundly better that it's standard counterpart,

where have I seen this before?

Hmm...

Any game that wants to keep making money after releasing hundreds of tanks?

This narrow and short term moneygrab perspective is exactly the reason for the already visible signs of WoT's downfall, but we are just the players, we don't know anything at all about this game... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are way more sustainable ways to monetize your game then blatantly release better and better tanks. Problem with this method is that you automatically make everything released before worse, every single time.

Sure, the sustainable way might net you smaller profits, much like trading in sustainable stocks does, but you are actually making sure that you have something to gain/monetize in the long run.

Releasing ever more powerful tanks that you pay for will progressively scare away more and more players because they can't compete anymore if they don't spend money and it will also make you run into a ceiling at some point because it's a finite way of balancing.

This kind of balancing/monetization is very short sighted to be completely honest.
