Yes, yes I know there is a separate forum for Italian tanks where no one ever looks....

Recently unlocked the Standard B after giving up on the Pantera and tier 8 MM. Made a bit of a mistake and missed the "reloaders" can use rammers unlike the clipper tanks. Played like 15 games before realizing this and switched the vents for a rammer.

Things is...its making so little difference in DPM i´m starting to wonder if its actually better to run it with vents instead of rammer? The DPM is still crap and you will spend a lot of time waiting for reload anyway. So I did some quick math.

With rammer:

12,7/11/9,3 = 2327 DPM /Full reload 33 seconds

With vents:

13,8/11,9/10,1 = 2141 DPM/Full reload 35,8

Given the other benefits from the Vents I´m starting to lean towards skipping the "must have" rammer on the Standard B. That VR boost alone is really nice although you can get max VR without Vents.

What equipment are you guys using on the Italian tanks?

I ran mine with vents. The extra view range etc was more helpful than the reload. As I play mine more as a support med early on to need the gun up instantly too often. Even more so late game when you are alone and distance is the best weapon you have vs a blind super heavy with high alpha. I came to the same conclusion rather fast.

So vents, optics and a vertstab on mine. Not a super crew, but mine sits on 457m atm.

I highly recommend this

https://docs.google....MpqCME/pubhtml#

Under the equipment section you should find most of what u need. Some you can switch around and test, but overall its as accurate as it comes. Also, it provides alternatives.

And why would you want to use some random google docs link over tanks.gg?

He does use a rammer on the Standard B which surprised me.

I always look at the wot wiki /ru/ :

http://wiki.wargaming.net/ru/Tank:It12_Prototipo_Standard_B

2 setups, one with vents and the other with optics.

Both have rammer and vstab.

Well it's more down to style I guess. A mate of mine uses optics, rammer and vents for his style. I like to play it as a 2nd line tank and peek over ridge lines fast. Thus the optics/vertstab combo.

Gunhandling is so bad on it I would never ever consider dropping the V.stabs!

Optics, rammer, vert stabs here, 54% WR 2650 DPG roughly.
