Let's face it, the majority of European WoT players are old. They play WoT because of its slower paced than other shooters. Will they be able to cope with fast-moving armoured cars?

Tbh... the same people you talk about. Are the same people yoloing in wheeled lights right now. I'll give it 2-3 weeks and the wheel hype will die out. And it will be a rare sight on most tiers.

The effect of those vehicles is and will be insignificant if they remain in their current configuration. The effect of wasting time and resources developing "those" is an entirely different matter though!

Depends. After the WWI event, it was more or less asked as much about in their Q&A when they do come, as much as MM and arty was. If it was as people expected in general that wanted it, is also a different matter. So far the feedback seems mixed on high tiers, hated on mid tiers.

Maybe people enjoyed them in that event format? maybe people enjoyed the WWI themed event itself?

People also ask frequently for flamethrowers and guided missiles!

From the stats and what i saw so far they look like a waste of everyone's time but it's too early to judge.

they're annoying only if you want to play a light tank; and that only for the first 2-3 mins of the game till they die. They're crap so I guess you kinda have to yolo with them which is frustrating when you want to spot.

beside tier 10, they're so bad it's not even funny. Probably you'll see as many in 2-4 weeks as you see 121s, krans or stb-1s...

330m VR in tier 9; less than an IS-3(a tank famous for it's VR). Nice meme; I'm sure it'll be a popular line =))))

Well, I admit I am old, but do you have any evidence that the majority of the EU players are old?

Likewise, do you have any evidence why WoT players, on the EU servers, play this game rather than other games?

And which other games are you comparing WoT with?

I've yet to see one have any significant impact in the matches I've been in, apart from some HE memes they seem rather meh at best.

No, because only a few players use wheeled vehicle anyway.

Flamethrowers occasionally, but guided missiles next to never. Wheeled vehicles, comparatively often

They also had Karl in a special event though. And in world of warships they had starship versions of ships as a special event. Special events are often similarly silly.

Silly or not that wasn't the point was it? Someone, somewhere asked about missiles and the developers were answering the question so it wasn't "next to never"!

Don't worry, the maps seem to almost always have some kind of flank where the need for awareness and multitasking is very limited. A wheelieboy can't really disturb you there. Lights and wheeled vehicles alike get outspotted by binos-wielding bush huggers, too. Nothing to worry about.

You're right, and I believe that particular event was the first in quite a while, too.

Isn't Warships for older players who need a slower game? That's what my friend says who's been playing a lot of that recently. My friend and definitely not me, no sir. You wouldn't know him, he goes to a different school and everything. I'm He's such an old fart and totally out of touch with us kids, right?! You know what I mean!

Most players in WOT is 25-35 years old.

Other games, like Fortnite, CSGO  etc have a majority of players in the 15-25 year span.

25-35?

Whipper snappers!

I don't think it will put me off. A killable fast tank in a line up of 15 opponents is a lot less frustrating than facing a Defender in your T-34-85. I've not pressed 'Battle' yet as I have only just got home but am about to as soon as it finishes updating. I can't imagine they are that much faster than the old T-50-2.

I shall see I guess.

I had the one tiers 8 top tiers doing a good job yesterday. Problem is he ended alone and was outspotted by arty ...

Their view range make them way less "game killer" than an Elc Even for instance.
