I'm sure I'm not the only one who's annoyed at this.

Many times now, I managed to get on my side thanks to the new physics enginge. And sometimes I have been intentionally/accidently flipped by 'teammates' And if no one flips me back, then I'm as good as useless for the team.

So, why don't WG make a marker that activates on the minimap, to indicate that someone is on his side or upside down and needs helps, cz it's really annoying that usually no teammate helps you get back on your tracks, they just drive paste like tunnel visioned morons and ignore your calls for help.

And PLEASE spare me from idiot comments like 'learn to drive' and 'don't flip yourself next time' I know, but no one can deny that this happens accidentally and could and does happen to anyone playing fast tanks.

Here's a great idea for your next patch to improve gameplay, WG! I'm not suggesting that you creat a punishment system for not helping flipped teammates, just make it so that they SEE that you need help.

I would applaud not only a map marker but also some kind of medal for helping tanks that aren't in your platoon.

1 bond and 5000 creds reward.

a major medal and 10 bonds after rescuing tanks 20 times.

One thing is that you might need help getting back on your tracks, another is that with a marker you wouldn't be wondering why that allied tank doesn't come and support you...

The most retarded thing is that tanks CAN flip by [edited]nudges in the first place...

XVM already has this feature. Along with a lot of other useful features. Just install it and if ratings bother you, you can not activate it.

I flip so rarely, I don't mind when it happens, IF it happens.

I guess it's because I drive carefully, and actually pay attention to what wall I might be rubbing up against or what the terrain ahead of me is like.

So I'm gonna give you the "idiot comment" and say; learn to drive. :great:

An extra "help I'm flipped" call for help wouldn't be necessary if people actually paid attention to those who call for help with F7, but some people don't even care in the first place, and that's not something a game mechanic can fix, that's humanity's "glitch".

To be fair, I think putting that marker you see on your own screen (the orange upsidedown tank circle) should appear above the flipped tank over their name marker, for everyone to see.

It's so simple.

You must consider they haven't changed their "HD Rocks" even after Wheeled LTs joined. So, it's pretty easy to overturn a light tank, specially vehicles such as the LTTB or B-C 12t, which are quite narrow.

"Clinging" surfaces are often their demise rather than the enemy.

I would say l2d? I hardly flip my tanks.

On the other hand. It's not the worst idea I've read here today.

But since you're flipped on your side instead of pressing f7 constantly why not type in chat? It's not like you're going anywhere and don't have time to type.

Of course, great idea, except it happens sometimes whether you are careful or not.

Duncan, of course I type in chat that I'm on my side and can't move, but experience shows, 95% of all players either ignore chat, don't speak english, or just plain old don't care. And I don't flip in every second game either, but a "Help me, I'm flipped" button would be appriciated.

There are mods that can show flipped tanks.

But what's the point when you end up doing own team damage to the tank you trying to "help" right siding them.

Hence, why nobody usually helps.

The problem is not that people don't know you are flipped, the problem is that almost nobody cares.

Wg needs to make repair kit available for unflipping.
That would be the best and least frustrating thing ffs!

Seriously, if you've flipped you're obviously not going to be any good if yo get unflipped.  Why would anyone risk their neck?

Try playing the RHM Panzerwagen without flipping it regularly due to the smallest obstacles and come back here and say how useless someone who flips a tank is...

There are some tanks, including some WV that flip so easily it is not normal. I'm purple and still flip tanks due to the most stupid reason and have carried lots of games already after getting unflipped....

Wouldn’t change much. The only time I’ve been banned for 1 hour for “team damage” was from trying to get an overturned ally back up.

As long as there’s a risk of being punished for trying to help, most players will ignore it.
