How many Tier8  tanks do you need to usefully participate in Frontline mode? 2, 3, 4  or more? If you die probably for the course of the game you cannot use the same tank?  Can you choose tanks from different nations/ ranks?  What about the crews? When you die can you use the same crew again in another tank right away or not?

If you die in a tank it is unavailable for 5 minutes, you can pick it again afterwards. All tier 8s in your garage are available in any match, as long as they have a complete crew as you click battle. You'll need a unique crew for each tank, as the crew is locked in their tanks as long as the battle lasts.

3 tanks should be enough to always have one available, assuming you last more than a couple minutes in them. But to be safe I'd say 4.

On topic: Progetto, IS-3A, Lorraine, Skorpion G

That's what should be available if we're talking about the most popular tanks. After 4 hours of playing I have yet to see a KanJP or Somua... 432s and Caern AX are around, but not in such large numbers as the 4 above.

Caernarvon AX? Is it 24. December again?

Yes, only in February and not the 24th... other than that, exactly the same!

LT-432 still not available for gold.

Dissapointed.

They will never sell good tanks for gold, only the trash or they get super nerfed if they end up being competitive ( T34 ).

Probably, some of them are going to be available for selling with gold in the next Advent Calendar ...

... so, just save your gold and be patient.

:)

Basically, one tank is enough ... if you know how to survive, three tier VIII tanks is the best amount you need.

Every tank needs its own crew, you have to man them before the battle starts, tanks without crew will not appear at your list of the available for battle tanks.

:B

This ^ basically, i have 2 in my list but usually only use 1, (it's a challenge to myself to just use my Greydog start to finish, if i get destroyed tho, i use my JT 88 a wHile, then get back to the dog)

Try to use the bush camo mechanic to fire without being spotted and don't be in vision range of lights when you make a big bang noise!

If you'd have put the 105 in front of me before the Skorp G came out, I'd have jumped at the opportunity! Just wanna collect them all but I don't think this one's worth it nowadays :(

I tried it the Kanonenjagdpanzer 105 a couple of times since I thought this tank could shine in FL due to the mobility. However, it is definitely not a good choice. Yes, it is very agile, but then survivability is very low ... I got spotted all the time, even with camo net, good crew and chocolate, and once I was discovered I often died within seconds. The gun does not live up to the hype, either - pen and shell speed are great, but the DPM is terrible ... ridiculously bad, in fact, given the design concept of a turretless tank that is supposed to be all about the gun. It is not even all that accurate - you can do amazing snap shots with it, but then you have misses that border on the ridiculous on a regular basis (as in: you miss the full side of a VK100.1 at 200 yards). And finally, having said that mobility is great - it is, once you have reached full speed. However, the power to weight ratio (19.46) is actually quite poor when compared to its nearest competitor, the AMX CDA (26.79), which means you actually need much longer to rev up the tank ... and that is crucial, since you desperately need the speed once your camo is blown.

All in all, I think the Kanonenjagdpanzer is totally mediocre in its present form. It feels to me like Wargaming had a concept for it that simply doesn't work well. It is not a total fail such as the Mauerbrecher, but until it received a significant buff (especially to the pathetic DPM) I would not recommend it to anyone. I really regret having spent so much money for it.

Every man and his dog are running about in Progetto's and WG name these as the best Frontline Tanks the is how well the marketing team knows the player base and game.

They would never NERF a premium tank ...The fallout would be massive ..I for one would initiate a claw back via my card company if ever that happened to any of mine
