I was wondering if it counts as actually leaving a game when you are tipped over and nobody cares to help. I've spent 3 minutes turned around because some idiot pushed me and cut me off between a cliff and him, people barged next to me and didn't care to turn me over so I quit.

 

I know there's a penalty and I'm OK with that because it's ultimately my problem, but I won't waste 15 minutes watching how other people play.

If it's like the last season, you can press/hold 'J' to bail out of the vehicle.

 

Also worth noting that, for some weird reason, you only get the penalty if you literally click 'back to garage', not if your game crashes/"crashes".

Just keep pressed the "J" key to force your respawn. You tank will count as destroyed but you will be able to keep playing.

Is even written in the article on the web page.

I didn't know this was a possibility, I don't read the articles on the website because they are mostly about selling tanks.
