The original post is irrelevant to the situation at hand now, because of the circumstances of the ban. You can find it below in the replies.

The issue is I was most likely flagged because I was playing from public places or internet clubs for a specific amount of time during my holidays, unbeknownst to myself.

I had little impact on the safety of my game client which is reasonable since I played from public space, but do note that I used all methods that were in my knowledge and capabilities given those certain circumstances.

Why I present this is that they clearly stated in the e-mail: "decision is based on a very thorough investigation and cannot be overturned."

There was no investigation, but a system that compares something with the something. There is no clear explanation to it and nobody so far has provided any guarantee except using "vanilla" client.

I have played with mods for a very very long time and without them, the user experience is not the same for me. It would be like reverting to an older patch where many features were not implemented.

Now am am actually uncertain of my previous deductions and reasons for the ban because of the following reasons.

There is large uncertainty, because of the fact that when you go to the WGMODS page and to Terms of Use, it is stated:

"The user also warrants that the Mods, their uploading to the Hub and granting the rights to them do not violate any contracts and applicable law.

"User modifications uploaded to the Wgmods.net Modifications Hub are pre-reviewed and can be deleted. Pre-moderated materials and comments posted on the Wgmods.net Modifications Hub can be edited or deleted later. The Administration of the Wgmods.net Models Hub is not responsible for the content of the modifications and related comments posted by Users. Liability for the content of modifications and comments is borne solely by their author."

Does this mean there is no guarantee by WG that the mods there are all 'clean' and the Creator of the mods is responsible for that.

It manly states the limitations of mods and guidelines of acceptable ones and failures to comply with the terms.

There is really no point in me arguing this issue with WG support, because the ban is 7 days long and isn't the case of discussion here.

According to many there are no such things has Aimbots and other cheats and hacks in WOT, so its quite a surprise they are still banning players...

Its also the red tomatoes, under 50% WR that are supposed to be hacking, if that's even possible....

Statistics and player reports are irrelevant, the content of your res_mod folder is what is important.

which should be to some extent different due to the game accusing me of cheating.

Why?

First, "usage of illegal mods" and "cheating" are two different things. Second, both could be done without having any effect on overall stats.

Relevant questions would be:

- did you use any mods in the last few months?

- were any of those mods questionable regarding the fair use policy?

I was being ironic... the guy got a 7 day ban for using cheats, so the only thing he has to do is stop using them.

And the guys at the olimpic games and "tour de France" don't take any drugs....

I' m not talking about WOT, but at the current state of multiplayer online games, to have any chance of standing out you have to use cheats and hacks.

They are even starting to catch hacks in esports Lan tournaments...

Every sport or game has people that try to be better than others by using illegal stuff and it has nothing to do with how good he/she actually is in the sport or game. So you will see both good and bad athletes/players using drugs or cheats.

Quite the opposite, I don't think the cheats or hacks is what makes them good, but the more competitive the environment is the more cheats and hacks there are.

So, off course at the highest levels of any sports, they are all in high performance training systems and drugs... don't be naive..

So all top clans in WoT cheat? And every top player in any sport cheat?

Ok.

No I don't think there is much cheating now in WoT.. some well known streamers are well known for using cheats, but that's it. Some cheaters and hacker in marathons, but nothing special considering the state of other games.

There used to be a time where cheating and hacking was prevalent, the time you could sell Wot accounts for good priceand do account boosting, now nobody cares about WoT.

In other games, I have absolutely no doubts. Even the use of drugs is well reported and documented in esports in the top teams

As the title says, "7 days account suspension, identified for the usage of forbidden and unfair game modifications"

"decision is based on a very thorough investigation and cannot be overturned."

There is really no point in me arguing this issue with WG support, because of countless tickets written so far about being banned for dubious reasons, to no avail.

Ignore the chat bans, me and them are long time friends introduced to me by WoT players.

Why this post? Because I have a serious issue when someone is accusing me or my capabilities which I get a lot from players, but this ban filled the glass.

Let's have a look at some statistics:

The results are of a time span of 7 YEARS. In those 7 years, my average is 3428WN8. It did improve by 559 from 2012 to 2019 due to the fact that new tanks, mechanics and gameplay came out that I pretty much enjoyed and I got a bit better at the game. Who would have thought spending 8 years doing something would make you better at it.

But, lets look at the most recent statistics, which should be to some extent different due to the game accusing me of cheating.

There we have an insight that in the last 1000 battles, my statistics stayed EXACTLY the same at around 3400WN8 as in the previous 20000 battles or a time span of 7 years.

The last 7 days, the performance is EXACTLY the same as my overall performance during the 8+ years of playing this game, and statistics and numbers show no deviations at any point which deviates from the fact that illegal mods would somewhat improve how i perform in the game.  Talk about abusing the word Perform.

Yet they did note that "decision is based on a very thorough investigation"

Come to think of, I did install the new Aslain's modpack yesterday (12.02) and picked a new mod, the one when you get spoted, it ticks for 10 seconds and I got anoyed by it really fast due to the fact that I use the same, absolutely same mods for at least 5 years now.

Seems like this 7 days ban will turn to 2 years like it did last time. Shame, I liked frontlines and even bought the LT-432 for it.

Untill next time.

Bye bye cheater.

I cant wait for WG to remove stats from live battles... Will enjoy seeing QuickFingers getting angry because he cant use tomatoes and patatoes as meat shield to farm dmg.
