I see quite a few posts here complaining about the time & difficulty that the Frontline Event brings, and how it's unfair.

Seeing how most people have trouble understanding how Prestige Points work, i decided to add a couple of helpful tips here.

First of all, you do NOT receive 1 Prestige point per Prestige Level.

Starting from Prestige 2 all the way to Prestige 6 you receive +2 Points per each level. So when you reach Prestige 6 you have in total 11 Prestige Points.

At Prestige 7 & 8 you get +3 Points thus at Prestige 8 you will have accumulated 17 Points (enough to unlock the tier IX tank).

At Prestige 9 you receive +4 Points bringing the total to 21 Points and finally at Prestige 10 you receive +6 Points, bringing the total amount of points to 27 Points and thus enabling you to buy both tier VIII and IX tanks.

*The experience required to reach Prestige 10 is still the same as reaching Prestige 2 from Prestige 1.

Another thing people ignore is that you have 10 weeks/months to reach Prestige X. People will be able to reach Prestige X in August, and those who don't will have 2 more weeks to get to it.

Some people mistake the Prestige Level +2 with Prestige Points. The way the event works is that you will be able to unlock a prestige equal to *number of Episode/Month +2.

Explanation:

January = episode 1 thus 1 + 2 = Prestige 3. First week of the event, you can reach Prestige level 3.

February = episode 2; 2 + 2 = Prestige 4

March = episode 3; 3 + 2 = Prestige 5

April = episode 4; 4 + 2 = Prestige 6

May = episode 5; 5 + 2 = Prestige 7

June = episode 6; 6 + 2 = Prestige 8

July = episode 7; 7 + 2 = Prestige 9

August = episode 8; 8 + 2 = Prestige 10

September = episode 9; Prestige 10

October = episode 10; Prestige 10

One last thing, people forget the amazing rewards you get alongside all the credits that you earn every game, so i put together this little picture to help you decipher the chart posted by WG.

P.S: If you have questions, ask away.

I will also add maybe useful information.

Prestige 10 can be reached in week 8 the earliest.

If that is your goal, or you simply want to play at a pace that gives you the ability to not play during 2 of the FL weeks, the breakpoints are these:

- you have to farm some 38k points each week, meaning that on each week you stop playing when you reach these levels/tiers
- week1 = prestige 1 + tier 14-15
- week2 = prestige 2 + tier 21-22
- week3 = prestige 3 + tier 26
- week4 = prestige 5
- week5 = prestige 6 + tier 14-15
- week6 = prestige 7 + tier 21-22
- week7 = prestige 8 + tier 26
- week8 = prestige 10

So then in order to get the 27 total points at the end of it you just need to prestige once each week for the 10 months of the season?

Ah, i was thinking it was a point per prestige so you'd need to do it 27 times over the season if you were mad enough to want the two top tanks :P

If that's the case this is easy enough to do for most everyone, dunno why everyone is whinging!

I think it actually isnt THAT easy for everyone, i think on average the average Joe is probably getting something like 400 xp per game and one game on average lasts probably around 25 minutes, meaning that to get the EMIL they have to play 458 games, which is some 190 hours, which is 2 hours 45 minutes every day of the event. And if this average Joe wants the T9 he has to reach prestige lvl 10, which means 4 hours 30 minutes every day of the event. I dont think that is something easy for the average player.

You don't need prestige 10 for the tier 9. You can buy the tier 9 once you reach Prestige 8 if u save the points.

People who don't have much time to play the game, will still be able to unlock at the very least 1 tier 8 premium for free, which itself combined with all the prizes is more than enough. People who cannot spend the time, should not complain.

I only see a lot of people complaining that they can't get BOTH the EMIL and TIer 9 because it takes to much time. They are the TOP prizes, its only fair u need to PLAY more to get them. If you want the tier 9 however, u can still get it.

I would swear you have to reach prestige X to unlock the T9.

To get max rewards, I'd agree that's not achievable for everyone, but even the least skilled players with a bit of time put in should be more than capable, over the full season, of at the very least earning themselves a free STA-2 which is nice for them if they are a F2P player.

That i agree with, getting sta should be quite easy if you actually choose to spend your time playing frontline and id say playing that amount could hardly be considered "difficult" or "slavery" imo, so basically it could really be considered as a "gift" or "bonus" for playing the mode regularly.

You are right, most people are not able to read. You need to be Prestige level 10 to get the T9.

Tier 10 is reachable. If you cannot spend enough time to reach it then you don't deserve the tank. Easy as that.

The tier 9 is the top Prize and only those willing to play the mode enough should reach it.

EVEN with all that, its NOT hard to get to Prestige 10. Keep in mind over all the 10 weeks, children will have vacation and adults who WANT that T9 so badly can freaking get a holiday over one of the weeks and grind the rest. There are options.

The event is FINE as it is. It's not meant to be easy to get that free Tier 9 premium. Free premium tanks are BIG prizes from WG.

Well, the main problem for me stems on the fact that this mode will have to be played throughout the whole year, and if you want all 4 tanks you still need to pay despite your commitment. I already have STA-2 though, so if I stick around for the whole year, which is unlikely, I'll simply get 4 bonds for WZ-111 and buy them all.

It's funny you need max prestige to buy this tier 9 tank, otherwise you can only buy the other 3, because it's not like anyone could even buy it before prestige 8 otherwise, and you'd be getting that exclusively.

In any case I'd be happy if they left FL mode open for the rest of the month even if there were no rewards, I'm having so much more fun than playing corridor maps...

You can get only two tanks out of the four.

I find it very tedious and grindy after a while. Got to rank 22 in 2 days by playing around 2 h a day. Mostly getting captain, with the few major+general, but also had a couple of lieutenant games.

Playing on the same old map over and over get's very boring imo.
