(- Punish people that shoot 2 rounds in a row at allies instantly) This is very hard cause at low tiers it so harmfully easy to shoot accidentally YOLO person who comes to line of fire.

Personally I believe that my own acts might make it worse, so I just do not care negativity and try to be nice to other players.

I think the problem (but is somethin i also like) with wot is the fact that your teammates can physically interact with your tank, damaging and moving you.
Yesterday night i was playing a random, i got a lagspike and at the beginning i touched another tank wich was prolly  aiming at something, that means he lost the aim, i told him i was sorry and i has gone by my own path.
After a few minutes he came behind me, started pushing me and got me in instantly under fire from the enemies
Those kind of things happens a lot of time....but because they can be done
i didn't play a lot of games but actually i got  worse...far more worse  (verbally) in games such as LoL or WoW.
That doesn't mean they have a bad community (well maybe LoL has ) but they're game played by a lot of players like WoT, so amongst the good smooth ones you get those assholes
WoWarships for example is a similar game but you gett much much more less bad behavior, but that is because it is more hard for someone to ruin pyshically your game (the damage you recieve from one of your temmates are less, if for example you ram an enemy ship you can destroy it while ramming a teammates gives you....1 dmg per sec if i remember right?) and the game is far way more slow.

Yes you have a lot of imbeciles, but i saw  a lot more well mannered players till now.
This is maybe because the grinding process on wot is fare more long and slow compared to other games and the playerbase age is usually more than 18+

Judging an entire community by the actions of some you may have encountered is equally bad contribution. The actions you've described I do not encounter that often, and while annoying for sure, crying bloody murder about something which almost surely happens to you only occasionally is just as obnoxious. Your little snow flake demonstration here is anything but constructive, so I suppose you're part of the problem as well then?

Edit: To add, you've been around since 2011 and never bothered to post, to contribute anything. Ever. Then your first 'contribution' to the forum is some whine thread about some bad behavior by some players you've come across. How exactly are you, yourself, a positive part of this community?

I totally disagree if someone is ping the map then put them on ignore its simple you worry to much about this and about that .just enjoy the game yourself there are ways and means of removing annoyances

you are playing a different game to me m8, and to be honest you have lost sight on why you started to play it in the first instance.

Well sometimes you are trying to fight the enemy and don't have time to start right-clicking on names in the menu.   Simple change is that the time required between pings increases on repeated pings.   So if initially is is .5s , the second needs .75s and so on.   Allows you to ping the map as needed but stops ping-spam.

The problem id more acute in the end-game where a few of you are trying to win and need to use the chat where as another guy just wants to make noise.

It wasn't so toxic before they removed the global chat.

Healthy (read; hilarious) insulting between opposing teams is gone and all the hate is centered towards your own team or stupid PMs.

The way how I deal with PM's when I see one flashing in my garage is this. I say to my self, there is nothing good waiting for you there, nothing at all and I close the window.

That's pretty pesimistic. I got a few congrats in PMs last week, plus when I get hate PMs I usually play arty :D

Because the game experience is ultra frustrating by design. Blame the game, not the gamers.

Nonsense.

People don't behave like the lowest uneducated cavedwellers because of the game. People do that because they are cavedwellers.

It's perfectly possible to be annoyed by the many issues the game has without becoming one of those special being that would deserve a walk of shame through King's Landing...

Doesn't even come close to LOL and DOTA, these are the real dens of scum and villainy. Literal salt mines and sea of toxic waste.

Hmmmm.......OP, have you ever stood on the sidelines with all the dads watching their boys play football on a Saturday morning? If not, I suggest you try it sometime, and then decide if you need to revise your thoughts!  :sceptic:

I think, that this forum is a good example  of toxicity in the game. In game and forum, you have both types, cry babies (mostly lower WR players or new players) and elitists stats bullies (players with good WR) . Both are annoying, unpleasant and ruin experience for everybody

Try playing online multiplayer games where the gameplay is not frustrating, by design or otherwise, then you would know that I am right.

The game is the core problem not the gamers. Fix the game and most of the toxicity will vanish by it self.

I played games with some of the most notoriously toxic communities in the past. Counter-Strike back in the day, League, Dota 2. But none of them can even hold a candle to this game.

I would place CS source, LOL, and Dota 2 above WOT any day. LOL def has a more harsh chat if you don't do the right things vs here. It's arguably the least new player friendly game out there due to chat IMO.

Yes WOT has its fair share of toxic players that react when you don't do what they want. But LOL is def 10x worse in that aspects. I learned some new words I did not know existed when did try it the first time. Even did the last time I played it. Words I never heard in WOT. They like to go into details about animal parts more in LOL.

There is no way to remove toxicity...people always find a way.

You can only suppress it. Ignore the griefers and let them do their own thing. If it gets outta hand, report them. If it gets REALLY outta hand, send replay to WG support...

There will always be new ones.

If you ask me, I think the core issue is not with the game or things like that...it's with how we are raised. The issue lies in the behaviour of people and how we react to things that don't suit us.

It (the issue) goes deep into the psychologial development of people when they were young.

If we want to eliminate toxicity, we need to change ourselves first. No in-game function can ever fully prevent it.

Yes, toxicity will devrease, but still: It's perfectly possible to voice your frustration in a normal way. Games like this one are so toxic because they attract loads and loads of uneducated cavedwellers, like a lightbulb attracts hoards of moths.

WOT also has the best in game community. Every clan i have joined has had a real diverse yet gloriously wonderful plethora of human beings in it. Never had that in any other game, its the only reason I play this still.

I am saying that the community is the only reason I am still playing here....
