"Hardcore" Game Mode

Well, WoT is like it is. If you like some other type of tank game then play it. Why should WoT change. There are many hardcore tank games out there so one that likes that kind of game can go and play there. WoT is good like it is even with its faults and has its place in the market so far.
WoT will not change. Players have the possibility to choose from many hardcore tank games and WoT. Why you hardcore players come to WoT and cry here and want WoT to change. Go somewhere else to play your hardcore games. This is a free world.
And yes, there is the hardcore mode already. Just press "V" and there you are.

yea how about only detracks and broken engines can be repaired (maybe not engines)
and if the tank has more of 3-4 module dmg it "dies"
so thye make a button which says hardcore and they make crew and modules more vulnarable so whne they shoot the position of the guner or commander and penetrate it he dies and after losing 2 crew members tank is out ... or if the tanks has gun destroyed its out .... but they should make HE rounds to do less dmg on modules so people cant spam HE rounds and hope for external module damage ............
something much more simple would be instead of HP the tank will die when it crew is dead ... WG makes the crew 100% killable when hit by AP rounds and imposible to be killed by HE rounds except arties .. so when 66% of your crew is dead the tank is shown as destroyed or better they should leave the tank as it is with the holes and they should make it explode only when hit by ammo rack

I approve this game mode! Sadly, I think we are at the moment better off with using the Historical game mod and community which looks cool btw).
You could change the damage system that modules take very long to repair (and can't get into mint shape at all), so no repair kit. Some modules shouldn't be repairable at all, so if you bust out an engine or the turret ring, you have to work your way around that. The same with crew deaths. If the gunner is dead, you can't shoot, only if the commander takes his place. There should be a feature which encourages you to "bail-out" though. Often the tank crew bailed because they didn't see any use in staying in that damaged piece of metal any more. So if you "bail out" in this game mode, your tank is effectively out of order, but you don't pay as much repair costs and your crew (at least the surviving members) get normal XP. That would make bail.out a constant gamble, either staying in the tank and blasting away with the remaining crew members or bailing out and save credits and xp for the crew.

I wish you could select between "normal" and "hardcore" game modes, where the latter would be different from the normal mode in features such as the following:
- no HUD markers for enemy tanks. Either you see the tank with your own eyes or you don't. Better check your minimap more often.
- also, you wouldn't get any tank ID. If you can't tell apart a T29 from an IS-3... tough luck I guess.
- and for that matter, no way of telling how many HP the enemy tank has left, other than the visible holes from shots, smoke etc.
- in return, longer max view range would be great, and reworked camo system that's not just binary "visible/invisible".
- no ultra-precise rangefinding, but maybe more like raw estimates depending on your crew's skill. Would of course be especially interesting if you really had to choose the proper scope for your shot.
- not sure what to do with the "red frame" you normally get to indicate a clear shot... well, there's room for discussion.
- also, Artillery mode should not be such an all-seeing Eye of God... not sure how to implement this, however.
Of course, battles would be purely within one mode, not mixing "normal" and "realistic" players into the same battle. By ticking the "realistic" box you'd only get into battles with other players who also chose this mode.
Who else would be interested in such a game mode? Knowing myself and my preferences from other games, I'd probably play only ever in "realistic" mode if it was offered.

I like the idea to have a second mode more pointed to simulation... but I'm afraid they will never implement it... WG is also building up on Warplanes and Battleships... all must be the same style of course.
Anyway, I would like the game with these features:
- no spotting or silhouette: you either see the enemy or not. This puts a HUGE accent on tactics. I can spot an enemy, but I don't attack: I call my team mates instead and mark on map where it is.
- when somebody spots a tank, he can place a marker on the map that will be seen by people in radio range. Marker will stay until the tank is seen by someone.
- no tank ID of course: you see what you see.
- no HP but a change to the damage system to make the tank less useful: more easy to damage modules, slow down the tank, reduce gun precision, slow down turret rotation, make tracks go at different speed and such stuff.
- distance of target rounded to 20 meters.
- gunshot power decided by the player.
- about arty, easy: you have the markers on the map. However, I'd give more power to arty because they wouldn't even see the tank, only the marker. There should also be more splash damage probably.
The game would become immensely more tactical and matches would last I think 30 minutes... but with more randomness (due to noobness as usual).
This would be a dream of a game IMO... I don't think I'll ever see it.
But I know there are other devs doing similar stuff to WoT and WoWP and WoWS. Hope they'll point more to simulation when WG is blasting into the arcade gamestyle.

I think with reduced effectiveness of repair, arty would be more deadly automatically due to the high chance of a critical when hit by it or when caught in the blast radius.

I would make 'hardcore' completely first person. You play as the role of commander and have to actively use view ports et cetera.
Microphone is a must. There is no minimap so if you don't want to continuously ram your own team, you have to communicate.

Would be awesome to have online tank fighting game that was very realistic but WoT can`t be one without heavy modifications and additions. Red Orchestra 2 has pretty decent tank fights with modeled insides and all.
