Saw this comment on the above article and thought you all might appreciate having a laugh at the snowflake crying about 20% of players cheating in Wot :)

Its very important or the community to drop the White Knight posture and acknowledge that Cheating and Hacking are the biggest problem in online gaming.

Specially in Battle Royal games and developers who in general do not condemn cheating, and actually promote mechanics that promote cheating and hacking.

I think fortunately WG is,now that all the Hype has passed, really invested in anti cheating, although judging from recent marathons and the pervasive use of aimbots, its probably not enough.

WG should also take action against anti ethic actions by clans, and be more aware of some of the contributors actions. But all in all, compared with most of the games out there WoT is, now,  a pretty safe environment

It's actually 93.2.   I know because I have a meme posted by Abe Lincoln that says so.

You could actually collect the data on how many players have been banned so far in WOT.. it's not that hard.

She could be one of those anti XVM fundamentalists, who consider a cheat to know the quality of your opponent, and in this case 20% is low....

https://www.forbes.c...g/#29de4d077663

By the way, apparently she was low-balling... according to surveys its 37% on average...

If you take that all the posters who say that there are no cheaters are cheaters themselves... then I think its being confirmed that 20% is indeed a low number.

Wow, so WG's 'ban waves' and 'fair play policy' mean nothing to this snowflake.

I love the ban waves, the gameplay gets better for a few days after.

I always play vanilla, but I bet this person would claim that's 'mad haxxor skillz init'

Thanks for the chuckle OP.

So prove her wrong.

So far i have not seen any proof there is not 20% cheaters in the game.

We have classic word against word situation here.

Actually according to the Forbes cited survey, its on average 37% of the players.... Which is kind of what is my feeling when I play Fronlines or any other marathon in WoT ;-)

First of all you have to define 'Players' before you can give a percentage...
Someone last week was commenting that according to the numbers only 3% of players are in a clan, whereas any game above T6 will show you that it's more like 40-50%... the difference is that 3% of the current accounts on the books at WG equates to 45% of the current players...

Until we define how regularly and recently you have to have played WoT to be counted as a player then any percentage statistic for anything is meaningless

As for aimbots - I can't say I have definitely seen any in the 20,000 games I have played.
I have definitely seen players using AI Bots, some of whose AI is better than others
and some players whom I strongly suspect were using banned foilage mods and other banned 'view' mods, but these were all affecting what they saw rather than guiding their shots.

No we don't, we have a classic burden of proof situation here. "20% of people in World of Tanks cheat" is supported by zero evidence, thus it has zero credibility.

The only sensible statement to make is "We don't know how many people cheat because we don't have a lot of data, we just know they exist because some occasionally get banned."

Cool, post up a single replay that clearly shows that 1/3 of the players in the game are using an aimbot. If it's as pervasive as you claim it should be obvious.

I look forward to your usual failure to provide any tangible evidence whilst claiming a 'bloke on a forum told me there are cheats so it must be true'.
