We're halfway through the month. But don't give up, we're here to help you with a few tips on the VK 30.01 (P) & the Tiger (P).

Tiger (P). You indeed can cannot rely on your frontal armor to take some punishment. Not only is the lower plate trash, but sidescraping is out of the question because of the even worse shoulders. Oh, and your cupola is penetrable by KV-2 HE shells.

Tiger P is not a bad tank when fully equipped, but saying that you can rely on its frontal armor is not quite true. Most of tier 6s(and fully equipped tier 5s) can penetrate you frontally on the huge belly, the tumor on the top of turret can be penetrated easily and enemy can see it when trying to hulldown. But dont get me wrong, this tank is playable, not quite as enjoyable though. Also the cannon which is same as on regular Tiger has about 600DPM less and is at about 1500DPM, this could be increased a bit. But hey at least it is better than the worst tier 7 heavy black prince, which has low alpha damage, speed 19 and an armor which can be penetrated easily(if enemy cant penetrate you with normal ammo the GOLD ammo will solve the problem).

True you can't side scrape, you can however front scrape again equal tiers with some practice.

Tiger(P) is not the worst tank on tier 7 but it's definitely in the bottom spectrum mainly because the armor does not hold up even one bit if you are not an extremely experienced player.

You go for relatively garbage armor on tier 7 to completely broken armor on tier 8....... Good balancing.

Where is dislike button. This is useless for veterans... As veteran i still like to learn, and this text is clearly just for rookies... I got Tiger P way before current ToT... and i still like it's TD kinda Gun (precision/dispersion, high Pen) ... it got solid mobility for its size, and front hull can bounce even Tier 8 AP shells if angled right, especially if used in corner of walls... Turret is not its strong side but if you played Tiger I you now it is supporter for other stronger(brawler) Heavy Tanks... best to play two or three mini map fields away from your ally and support them... Well i am currently in VK100.01 P and i played few dozen battles, great tank... but i am still halfway to next gun and better engine and with current player base and SHELL prices of more then 1K per AP i mostly got minus credits per battle even if i am top 5 most of time... WG this was mentioned before even with other tanks... its one of most annoying problems current Random battles face... and its unfair to players who are solid and good and deserve reward for its commitment and skill not punishing via minus credits! You mentioned its F2p game.. prove it!

My tip for the Tiger P is not to sit still and give them chance to aim.  If they have to take a rushed shot then your armour will usually work.

Good solid advice on the VK 30.01 P, but horrible advice on the Tiger P.

 

It's armor just doesn't work when you have glacial aimtime, low dpm, not so good soft stats, and everyone knows your weakspots .... which can be penned by even the KV-2 firing 152mm HE shells most of the times.

And if that's not bad enough, the tank opens up 4 lines, 550-600k xp on that tank overall to fully elite it.

 

For those playing it, think about using the 88 l56 with gold when you need to, 2500 dpm and good softstats, can snapshot.

 

Using the 88 long forces you to not be aggressive, to carefully aim your shots when that essentially lowers your armor's potential.

Using the 88 short allows you to bully when you need to, leaving them less time to aim for your weakspots.

I quite like this 5 x XP Top of the Tree deal, I have been grinding through the Tiger (P) and have all modules and only 45,000 XP to go to the VK 100.01.

If you get it angled right the armour is reasonably bouncy, but as with all armour in the current meta, one bounced shot and your opponent 'dabs the 2 key'
 

My main issue with the tank is that every shot seems to take the tracks off, I seem to spend a ridiculous amount of time stationary

Great job with the new, updated top of the tree missions! Motivated me to go for that entire line (and allowed me to already get halfway through tier 8). Nice to see these positive changes

Tiger P is a prime example why the ingame armour stats are horrible and an armour inspector is needed. The only thing with 200mm for armour is the tiny upper middle plate, everything else can easily be penned by tier 6 and up unless at a big angle. You're giving up 25% dpm and speed just to get a tiny plate and become a bigger target.

 There is no dislike button and there is a need to inform all players, not just veterans

This is a skill many people seem to have forgotten. Maybe I'm old but I remember when everything and everyone wiggled their tank and did everything possible to make it difficult to aim.

What i understand from this article, noone/way too few amount of player cares to grind this ToT so they felt like another heads up about it. Tbh, no lane really worth grinding for anymore, especially this kind of absurdly slow tanks as at this point, we have heavy tanks goes with 60 and not even to mention other types, that goes up 95 meanwhile, pressing 2 neglates only plus of these has. From day one, i never understand why these tanks have to go with max speed of 20. I mean, they are already slow, far from agile by any means, but limiting their max speed also makes sure they will simply won't get places even when nothing happens around them.

More that one of the biggest parts of feedback from the community is the Tiger P difficulty and so we tried to help those who were put off by it or unsure about it and it's a mid-way point to remind people the event is still on and can still progress.
