Frontline QoL improvement

Please give us rank points linear to the progress we make, so if we get Captain rank with 90% progress towards Major, we get the bonus from captain plus 90% of the difference between Major and Captain.

 

It's incredibly frustrating to lose out on so many points, so many times.

Why would they do it? They would ease the grind and we cant have that can we now?

When they blow off the game and you are 1 shot away from General. :(

The only QoL improvements Frontline needs is removal of all those ridiculous Artillery and Air strikes from most if not all vehicle classes.That and a respawn fix as it's equally ridiculous to be forced to wait 20 seconds, then spawn a mile away from the zone you're supposed to protect: if you get destroyed trying to reset the cap most of the time you might as well forget about it after.

That not QoL, that is design. My suggestion does nothing but make the experience less frustrating.

So does mine (less artillery and air strikes definitely will make Frontline less frustrating), and so is yours merely design. So stop pretending otherwise. You just want easier mode for quicker progression for your own convenience, which is hardly the same as QoL.

I'd like to see it for one season - and the rants about blobs of players running around and murdering everything - the bigger blob wins or something like that xD

The real thing this mode needs is to be queued alternating as defender/attacker not defender a zillion times in a row! That's what really frustrates many players according to ingame chat! Beeing defender over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again! That sucks!

But than again we all know WG is simply incapable of implementing truly intelligent code.

Been there, done that. Bounced the very last shot off the flush side of an IS3 from 50m and then had to sit and watch the last 30 secs of the game tick down while my clip reloaded.

 

Was not happy..

I'll take my chances with the blobs then. My record so far is getting hit with 2 artillery strikes and three (!) air strikes more or less at the same time, and I wasn't even in the freakin' cap. Went from 100% to 0% in mere seconds. Such fun, much wow. And any one player with any class can do it now.

 

If these are to stay they should be limited to 1 or 2 classes. Stick artillery strikes and smoke with SPG's, scouting and air strikes with lights (maybe add smoke), inspire with heavies, engineering with mediums. The latter may seem odd, but perhaps that will get the hordes of ridge line sniping medium players to actually go for cap for a change (doubtful). Something like that.

This reminds me when I was just a student, people trying to scratch that 5, if there were 10 questions some would study 5 and pray they get those on the test. It always made me wonder why us both are taken into same consideration for getting a 5 or a 9 then I realized there are no levels of mediocrity, only those who pass the cut and those who don't, and among the former a shout out to those who excel. Same thing here, you are either worthy of the rewards or you're not.

When the team decides with 6 minutes left to destroy the 3rd objective when you are 3 shots away from general in a fully loaded Progetto infront of a helpless tracked victim that can't hit you. :angry:

Anyone in a Progretto should get a permanent Private status. All those camping, ridge line sniping 'heroes' deserve nothing.

 

If I were to make another QoL suggestion for Frontline it would be to exclude premium vehicles. Or at the very least all additions from recent years which are flat out better than regular Tier VIII. Not that I am having any particular issue with any of the better Tier VIII's, and the Defender for one is a pleasure to deal with generally speaking, but it's rather obvious even to the blind to see that Frontline is more or less dominated by a select few Tier VIII. All of which are premium vehicles.

Eh? That is why most universities use a percentage point to give you exactly the result you have achieved rather than rounding it up or down.

 

Not to mention this is a game, it's supposed to be fun. Someone 95% the way to General receiving the same reward as someone just barely reaching Major doesn't serve any purpose other than increasing the frustration and grind. A lot of people now play until they reach Captain or Major and then don't put in any more effort because most of the time it's wasted for them, a lot of people end up going ( semi ) afk.

I'd like the Top Gun medal from my earlier game then. I know I only killed 5 tanks but I was trying to kill the 6'th so that counts right? It's not my fault someone else got to him first, I should get rewarded anyway. /s

How about you only get XP for tanks that are killed? So you can do 90% of a tank's life and you won't get any XP from it. Why else should you be awarded for failing?
