Well said, barely worth bothering with.  Either free xp you have to pay to convert or a little crew training, but no help to grinding tech tree vehicles. What if you're a free to play player, or a new player without any premiums? Hardly helping draw in new players this kind of nonsense.

at the moment, the only tier IX special tank is the T-55A, there is a chance we will add tier IX tanks to this event after the new frontline reward tank was added

This special is always premium and special tier 10 tanks. It is designed to help crew training or help those who want to, stockpile xp to convert later or use the special discount ratio.

Very much welcome each time, to give 6th sense and 50% mentor to the fresh commanders of my new crews, then to turn on accelerated crewtraining and watch those little guys blossom and grow like maggots on a summer corpse! 

 

For newbies and/or people looking to spend less/nothing reading this: once per month WG asks you to change your password. If you do so, they give you 300 gold. During the once-per-month conversion discount, you can use this to convert 300 x 35 "free" xp to 10500 Gold xp [1]. If you spend that on your completely new commander during this x10 crew xp thing, those 10500 gold xp count as 105000 crew xp, which is precisely enough to get the first skill from 0 to 100% .

[1] or save it up for 2 garage slots when those are on discount, of course, depending on your needs and preferences.

WZ-120G FT or T54E2 ?  Centurion AVRE?
