Overlord, please send these kinds of analysis posts to whoever is in charge of penetration... and if they don't listen, sack em for incompetance.

These posts make little sense and wont be of much help.

Did you guys make another mistake there too?

For instacne a PzIV is tier 5 tank, but there is no green colour in the tier 5 battle tier entry.

What new system are we talking about? This is the correct chart for 7.0, forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/10168-match-making-system/page__pid__129225#entry129225.

Battle tiers dont coincide with vehicle tiers, dont mix the two. Pz IV can join battle tiers 6-9, take each individual column to figure out what opponents it can meet. Eg in battle tier 9 it can meet heavies, meds, and tds up to tier 8.

Going by the current schedule that would make them around Q3 2012, getting close to a year later than expected :(

The modeling has been finished. We have that many tanks to add that its sort of difficult to squeeze them all into one update.

That's because battle tier is not the same as tank tier. They realized a while ago that they couldn't just put the same tier tanks into the same tier battles all the time and consider it fair, so they created the battle tiers which allows them all kinds of subtle variations to what classes & tiers (and premium exceptions) get into what kinds of battles.

A: No ETA.

Hello again Overloard,

According to the Tier chart in 7.0 if u look it is posible for tier 5 Heavy tank to go up againts tier 9 heavy and 9TD, can do u think that it is a good match up for him and can u tell me what that tier 5 can actualy do in thesbattles excet get one shot on first sight by its opponents?

So would it not be fait to look at the MM set up and mak it a bit more balanced???

Hello Overlord,i really don't post very often as i prefer to play your game. i do read these forums though and would just like to say something before i ask you a few questions.For all the people that seem to think that WG don't give out much information regarding "whats coming up" in the future or explaining about different facets of this game i'll say this: Its pretty damn rare to get a developer giving insights,updates and answering players questions on an almost daily basis,very few gaming companies match this type of feedback and i salute you for your efforts young man. This threads title gives players the information they need as the place to go to have best chance of their queries being answered, lol it even says that its best place to get you questions answered!Would cut alot of the pointless posts on the forums if tankers used this thread..  anyway here are a few questions:

1 Any new modules planned for release in the next few patches? As atm there are only really enough choices of module that nearly everyone has the same setup on certain types of tank, for example: rammer, gld and  vent(if available) camo net (if no vent available) on arty is what nearly everyone uses. With more options/viable choices there would be more variety, maybe gold modules are an idea or buying a 4th module slot for gold? Run a competition to design a module and bring in the top 3 into game?

2 When you do test realm gameplay/new tank stat changes do you take into account the feedback posted on the RU/US/EU test forums when you tweek the new tanks stats? I ask this because whilst playing the new french tanks i noticed a few things: Players get all that gold given to them that ALOT of testers use gold ammo on ALL tiers on test which is gonna obviously give the impression that "new tank/gun X is overpowered" as "i normally bounce frontal shots on my tank Y"This over use of gold ammo will give a false picture of new tanks power IMO. Also with any new tank there is always a learning curve to where is best to shoot them and whats best tactics to defeat them, i saw ALOT of players playing very stupidly versus the french tanks with the cartridge reload system,which may well have given arise to all the nerf threads on test realm forums?  So after i noticed the very large increase in the reload times for the cartridges in the latest test version along with the aiming time/accuracy nerfs i  am really curious how you decide on what to change especially with the diffence between test1 and test2 stats for french tanks? Do you guys do internal closed testing and if so on what scale?

3. The ingame camos you put in last patch, are these the same camos that in a future patch will offer a small camo bonus? If so i personally think you might want to lower the gold/credit price till they actually function more than just looking nice. This would be a good way to get more people to buy them atm, making the game look cooler for everyone and when you intruduce the camo bonus  effect to them it would have alot more people already used to having camo on their tanks and more likely to continue buying them when they have the actual bonus. Also offering a reduction in price till they are fully functional is GREAT PR!

4.Another question on camos: i know you said if you buy 1 specific camo and want another you lose the initial purchase. Obviously this is a good way of making tankers spend cash and i understand this is a buisness and needs healthy profits to continue/expand the range etc, but it is annoying and rather silly seeing tanks in arctic camo on sand river or cool desert camo on arctic region.. Will your camo ever change to suite your enviroment or will the purchase of say 3 types of camo be available for 1 tank  and the game/or tanker selects the most appropriate one? This funtion/feature would go down very well with the community and as you spend so much time making maps/tanks look so realistic would be a shame to see my arctic camo tank being pointed at on sand river and the "your on the wrong continent" jokes would stop..


5 To make up your money lost from implementing my credit/gold cost tweeks i suggested in question 4 i'll give you a sure fire 100% guaranteed way of making mountains of cash for WG and solving the "mid tier HE is weak now versus high tier tanks" make the various flamethrower tanks and flamethrower prototypes available! Hear me out before you just say "no hoof you a mentalist" there is at least 1 tank available at mid tier lvl that would allow for an upgrade to turret and gun to allow for this option.It would allow mid tier tanks to do similer damage that HE did(modular/crew mainly) But involve getting close obviously,making them viable in higher tier battles at a great personal risk but the fun factor would stop 99% of the HE nerf whines! It would look damn cool with your ingame shooting effects. A couple of premium flamethrower tanks would make your type59's popularity seem tiny and make you mucho £$!!

Maybe put up a poll on your blog about adding flamethrower tanks as you not updated in a while?

To answer your question. I highly doubt you will get any ETA since dates have become a delicate matter lately.

Overlord:
1) when are coming promised improvements of Clan management (versions at least if not approximation of dates):
- gold log
- more types of functions - (not mixed commanders and financial)
- more types of ranks for members

2) when are you going to create tools for support that can help players with some mistakes which happens from time to time? (like accidentally deleted tank, crew members, wrong type of ammunition bought, deleted module instead demounted etc.)

3) any info on gold transfer between players - is it scrapped completely?

4) why you are not allowing bigger then 100 members clans? why is there this artificial barrier?

Hello there and thank you for giving your time to read and mayby answer these. And i'm terribly sorry if there is some questions that are already answered before. Tryed to search these answers without any found.

1. There has been many chances in graphics and FXs after beta, but fps keeps falling on every update. So i wonder if there any timetable to optimize those and get back to way our fps was on beta?

2. Is there any plans to make a supply tank/vehicle in future?

3. I would like to see a feature that i could pop out my tank commander to see better, but ofcourse he would be dead if someone shoots you while he's out. Is there any chance to see feature like that in future or is it already in development? :Smile-hiding:

4. Well this is not really a question, but a somekinda brainfart from me. I hope that you don't mind if i write it here. It's about those camo paints. Could it be possible that if you got winter camo color in your tank. You would be easyer to be spotted on summer maps? Well random matches would likely be issue in this feature because you really don't know what map it will be next. But on clan match that would make a difference.

5. we got equimpent in our tanks like camonet, gun laying, coated optics and stuff. Those are pretty much unbreakable. Is there any plans to make those destroyabe too or to have and kick back effect? like if you got an gun laying device. if it malfunct, would it be a pain in the *** after that to make targeting slower?

6. looked at that nice video about physics in development. looks extremely nice, but one thing bothers me and i hope i can get an answer to: If i'm on the edge and enemy comes behind me and i turn my turret around and shoot him. Can a recoil from my gun drop me off from the edge?   :Smile-playing:

Since the new German TD line will not come before 0.7.4, as you mentioned earlier (7.2: US Heavy line Revision, 7.3: Soviet Heavy line revision, then some new French tanks), will you at least post some basic info and specifications (like the top armament) for the new German TD's just before the 0.7.3 update, as a lot of people would like to know whether it's worth wile saving Free XP for the new German TD's or spending it on the new Soviet Heavy Tree?

Good to hear. Consider it part of the new and improved community management. :)

I know one company that's made thousands (If not tens of thousands) of whatever currency you wish to measure in, just by letting the Community do a large chunk of the work for it. While that model isn't strictly appropriate for here, Other MMO companies I've played have got the community on board with support projects.

Ok Question.

Will Recoilless rifles be included in the game? After the end of WWII there was a big uptake in RCL's as a way of providing light AT weapons cable of doing allot of Damage. Some found their way onto vehicles, to help with weight issues. From RCL's I would expect big damage numbers, medium Accuracy and a huge firing signature (So it makes the vehicle even easier to spot!).

I can think of two vehicles off the top of my head that would fit into the time line and would carry RCL's, and make really fun tanks.

As I understand you raised the price of the Löwe, because it was too strong for a T8 heavy. Now we have the T59, that you consider overpowered as well. Do you plan to raise the price as well to decrease the flux of them into the game as well?

And don't you think it would be healthy for game balance if you made a statement "From now on all new premium tanks will have their stats adjusted, if they don't have the intended effectiveness."? Instead of not fixing tanks that wargaming itself considers overpowered, thus hurting game balance, only because you said at a certain point that premium tanks won't be adjusted.
