well spent resources for a event of 7 days instead of fixing long known/open bugs/issues with the live version....

 

(yes I know that the source code of the client and server was most likely "only" checked out of the repository and compiled - but still you need to setup servers, you need to run tests, and you have to adjust the engine to run on todays technology like modern APIs like directx11/12 and newer windows - or setup a sandbox/virtual enviroment - etc. - so it takes time and resources none the less)

I hope it’s not just an april joke. Looking forward to try it just for pure nostalgia, see old mechanics, maps and vehicles.

 

Looking on those tech trees I remember how amazed I was by amount of tanks and time needed to unlock them all. I thought it was impossible for average player. Compared to todays 50+ tier Xs seems like nothing

I had played in those days I was lovely.

By the why there is any bug about this "You can buy special shells for Gold only, not for Credits." so it can be back in the actual version of the game

I highly doubt that the wide mass of todays playerbase will enjoy the "classic" wot.... unlimited arties? game breaking climbs? learning to aim for weakspots because gold ammo actually costs gold? (which is an argument for real P2W btw.... )

i was playing this game even prior to this update although in US servers.i wonder why this time machine came to the mind of WOT developers in the first place.it will be fun playing it but its not the actual game...BTW i hope its not an April fools joke( i have never seen a company or entity making an April fools joke a week prior to the actual 1st of April  and then the event it self happens in 29th of march)
