Our new Top of the Tree has started! Get the AMX 50 B now!

It's more a medium than a heavy

I wish you would discount the crew training by 50% off for the line. Once I get to the end of a tank I wait for a sale - and I'm sure I'm not alone. This qatott event is not enough for me to pay full gold price for crew training. Something to think about wg

Valid point. Assuming you play every tier, you're paying something like 4*10*200 gold when grinding the complete line in a single month. 8000 gold, that's €30,-. At least it pays off to complete free xp the lower tiers.

So i got the 50 120 and 50B and boy was i disappointed, both should go 65 km/h but can't so thats mobility out the window there, armor forget about it (not like i didn't know already) and then the gun, WHY did WG think it was a good idea to make a huge [edited]tank like the 50 120 have 3.33 intraclip and 50B have 2.5 when they dont have the armor to withstand hits long enough to unload, and the T57 Heavy which has way more armor all around get's 2 sec intraclip i don't get that logic, imo the 50 120 should have max 2.5 intraclip cause of the lack of both mobility and armor, and the 50B should have 2 sec intraclip cause of the same reasons as on the 50 120.

This is why I decided to sell my AMX 50 100 yesterday.  It just feels so underwhelming in the current MM.  The Lorraine 40t is better in every way possible.

Love the new Top of the Tree. For the 1st time since 2011 I actually took part and completed one (from the VK1001p). Will be taking part in this one too!

That was the idea behind the change and we can help everyone get to the top and progress nicely with cheaper tanks along the way.

There is a way around this.

 

What i do, is i free xp up to t4, and at t4 i buy 100% commander.

I pop 200% crew xp boosters and 50% combat ones, and i grind towards t5, while keeping the crew xp unallocated.

At t5, i will retrain with credits for 90%, but it will take crew xp from the unallocated pool, i then continue with same thing, boosters and keep xp in unallocated pool of xp.

At t6, after retrain, i get serious and i pop boosters again, and either get repairs or camo, depending on tank, with a reset on commander for 6th sense.

 

After this, i always make sure i have enough crew xp unallocated to cover the retrain from 90% to 100% on the crew.

Even with buying and using gold, i can keep a line grind at under 350-400 gold used.

50B is more of a mobile flanker/peeker in the frontlines when they reload (so you need to count shots for autoloaders and know reloads), or just plain sniper at mid/long ranges.

 

T57 is a brawler.

I can recommend playing the 50b line, I enjoyed grinding the line back in the days.

Lovely, always wanted an amx 50 B, i am a sucker for french tanks I also like this new system better, imo it's a nice improvement, i also like that there are no more votes, people tend to mostly vote the same stuff, or the tank that is the most meta from the choices.

nice to see a ToT where i have the tier 10 in my garage already, will definitely be racking up some games in the 50b this month

It's some incentive to play what is one of the worst lines in the game, and on thop of that, the whole French heavy line is a mess, mixing lights, meds and heavies, resulting in messy crew training.

 

Have been grinding this line for a while, and just need to get the 120mm gun on the 50 120, then grind out the 50B. maybe I will never need to play them again after this month.

Lights and meds, yes .... not so much for heavies though, they have separate line, though they do share some modules like guns and radios.
