Alright, so from the beginning: I bought Rudy recently and I was pretty hyped for promised Szarik's barking as special sixth sense sound. I've entered the battle, got spotted, and nothing happened, no special sound. I've already read numerous topics on polish and english forums and players are saying that Szarik was indeed barking at the beginning, just after introducing Rudy, but one update broke that sound and it's been quite ever since. I've been talking with the WG support for the past few days, exchanged opinions and obsrevations and they finally admitted that adding Szarik's barking to the game would be a good thing and told that they will forward this idea to the decision making people. I don't know about other Rudy holders, but I would be happy if I could hear Szarik in battle. :B

It never barked, it was an XVM feature. But you are right that it would be a very nice extra to the tank and even a selling point. But if it is high on the to do list I doubt.

I thought the same for a moment, until I stumbled upon tank manual for Rudy (https://worldoftanks.eu/en/content/guide/tank-manuals/t-34-85-rudy/). It is clearly stated twice that Szarik should bark, but the support told me that this article is incorrect. I didn't know what to think for a moment.

But what about that post from the past that I showed you that said that he got it to bark after removing his previous mods, which shows that it did indeed bark and that in vanilla?

Went on youtube a few mins ago, and tried to find the oldest tank reviews for the Rudy.

Which are 3 years old now.

Some guy I don't recognise, DezGamez and QB.

All three of them were running different versions of some XVM mod, but all three of them had Szarik bark.

Dunno about the random guy I found, but both Dez and QB were playing on a press account before the tank's actual release.

TL;DR:

Either XVM incorporated that feature before the tank got released, or Szarik did actually bark back in those days.

Rubbish.

It was part of the original sales pitch that you got a dog bark with 6th sense.  Nothing at all to do with XVM.

Good, find proof of that and talk to wargaming.Since I have looked for weeks back than and could not find it. And when I got stuck with first the CS and later the WG devs I got AgingJedi (who was a community contributer back than) to talk to them on a special forum and you can find his answer in the topic I linked.

I bought the Rudy on the first day and was just as convinced as you all that it barked, but after what they told me in that topic and what AgingJedi told me later I dont know what to think. Could be xvm, could be it barked and they removed it ...

Well if Wargaming's own page isn't enough proof for Wargaming then there isn't much hope.

All the shop pages are no longer available but the above was part of the sales pitch.

I'll quote before it gets a ninja edit.

Quote

Here is the superstar of the Polish TV series 'Four tankmen and a dog', the T-34-85 Rudy! It comes with a special crew from the series, plus the dog Szarik, with a barking Sixth Sense sound.

I'll trust my memory more than anything WG say and I didn't buy it because it had a dog sound.

If you really want a dog bark as the sixth sense sound, that is available in Aslain's modpack (along with loads of other sounds) though of course once chosen you get a bark in every tank, not just the Rudy.

I have it and I do find it gets my attention better than the standard noise.

"Zsarik never barked" is an easy way out for WG.

I played Rudy without any mods installed and the dog sure as hell barked when 6th sense went off.

I don't care what a WG support guy is reading in his database, I know what I heard.

I also have a Rudy and would swear that the dog barked. It could however be the "Mandela Effect" - like Jaws' girlfriend in Moonraker hasn't really got braces on her teeth.

Szarik menas in hungarian language: "He is s.hitting"

So he can not bark, because he is sh.itting :)
