Zerim17 found the need to chat ban me, without any warning what so ever, at general chat in the garage because I spoke Dutch.

I would like to highlight that, according to the rules, the preferred language is English but it is NOT mandatory.

Also it is very common that Eastern Europe players tend to chat in there native language all the time and no one from those players ever got banned for that.

That smells.

Ahh, General Chat moderators strike again. The only surprise here is that it wasn't that moderator whose name sounds like it ought to be a bonus code that people usually complain about.

Unsure what this thread is supposed to achieve though, this isn't the Appeals section. In fact, there isn't an Appeals section on this forum as far as I know. General Chat is known for wild banhammers, the smart thing is to stay away from it, if you can't manage that, the smart thing is to be quiet even on innocuous topics the moment a moderator starts warning people, else you might get hit by a random flying banhammer.

The rule for General chat has always been English only.  You are getting confused with in battle chat where it is preferred but not mandatory.

Quote

7. Official Language

7.01. General chat: The official language of the In-Game General Chat (and all other chats that are not language-specific) is English. Players who wish to communicate in their native language are urged to do so in channels created specifically for their language.

Also, what were you doing in General chat, that's enough reason to ban you right there.

Try it, throw in a comment-grenade and sit back and watch the uprising.

The rule has always been English in General chat - some of the old mods (I dunno if they do now) used to point people to nation-specific channels if they wanted to speak their own language. Perhaps if only WG could make a lil more prominent I guess there wouldn't be this issue. and maybe add in a heading in general chat stating English Only or something.

How does breaking the forum rules assist your case?...."Do not discuss moderation and sanctions"

  • not speak oxford english

Not really. As General chat still has the same chat rules as the rest. And if the admin on watch monitoring it can't speak the lingo. Then you might get one. As he has no idea what you talk about. You could be talking about baking a cake. Or you could be calling someone's mother something. And since he doesn't know? Well...

Well. All the obvious hints about the general chat aside - why did you speak Dutch in an English chat when your English is perfectly fine?

The thing is : tell that the tons of people who speak Polish only and that no one and the majority dont understand outside  of Poland .

The mods there have no f u c k in problems with that in the general chat it seems.

I got myself banned twice without warning since I used the general chat.

Once for just speaking German at the first day here in Wot.just for one normal sentence .

From my viewpoints the mods are very

hypocritical at that point there.

Who hired this people ? Seams like they don't do there jobs right.

that is rly (Not) good PR for wargaming.
