I got mine from the marathon and so far I have been trying to make it work. My impression is this tank is broken. Out of 10 battles, 6 of them are either ok or below average or even horrible, 2 are above average and only 1 might be good/awesome.

And while the tires absorb shots, no one has any problem shooting you from 500+ meters while going 80 kph. When 4 or 5 tanks are aiming at you, eventually one of them will land a shot.

It's kinda like FV 4005. I have rarely seen anyone in EBR 75 really influence a battle. I am really struggling and would like to know the opinions of pro LT players. And any advice would be appreciated.

Going by all the topics of late. Most seems to think it's broken... but the other kind of broken. But 90% of those have never played it to see that 9 out 10 games, they are underwhelming at best, or you die instantly.

That said... I went for a build around the gun. Not spotting. If you have tracked lights on your team. You load HE and help your lights counter the enemy lights. And then you fall back and bully until you have to spot, or you see someone isolated you can jump on. Like a T28 Proto that can't traverse the turret over the rear. Active spotting not good on most maps.

It sound like you should specialize more in lower tiers, and if you go above tier 7 you should play with arty,

That is the problem. If your team carries the game and live long enough, you can do a lot of damage at the end. Other times, it's meh at best.

It's always good to check the skill level of the players before posting something like this.

Did you try to play it like an Arty-Terror? Wait 2 min at the start of the battle, maybe spot some crap but save your HP and then 2 minutes later when everything left the base zoom in and get the scumbags, but dont forget to warn your scumbags so they can shot if you can't finish the job, you might die like this but who cares as long as the clickers die first.

Don't scout, harass, you're too blind to see much anyway. If you can stay in the game til the end stages your mobility let's you make big plays.

I got to test it out before it was rewarded. And like many others that got that chance. View range was pointed out as an issue. As to spot something with camo when passing it. You need to be close to counter their camo with 300 base, even when they are in the open. Doing passes hoping to spot their TD's 300m away is not gonna work.

It's fast sure, it has high HE pen and can bully paper targets. But that's about it. As a scout, I can say WG missed the mark on that one considering how you need base view range to counter camo. And with that on nothing. You have to move up to 200m to see most targets. And if the other team has a passive 445m scout. You are countered before you even see anything.

They need some tweaking sure to work out in terms of a good balance between speed and spotting. As of right now, it's a bit off. Thus why I said in my edited post.. I went for a build around the gun to help my lights counter their lights vs a scout build.

Yeah, as soon as you start to harass you suddenly see 5 TDs camping, all turn their gun towards and EBR 75 is not that fast, so you either die or live on 10 HP. I am kinda starting to hate the tank. It is nothing like a normal TD. I don't really know how the tech tree is. I am at T7 and don't know about top tiers, but the line is super underwhelming to say the least.

Except they are on the opposite side of balance. They are mostly bad, except for the occasional good battle.

it's really bigger than the other variants so its easier to hit. i don't understand why ppl think they're game breaking.

Not played it but from what I've seen it can dominate any 1 vs 1 engagement with a tank it can damage. They can punish anyone when isolated.

The wheels are frustrating to play against and there needs to be more understanding I think about how they work when hit by a shell. There's too much confusion on that front at the moment.

The speed and mobility seem to compensate  for the lack of view range. Overall though there is a huge learning curve for players to adapt to having them in the battle which should bring that advantage down with time.

EBR tactics 101

You can make a huge difference in the closing stages with an EBR and arty hunting is a hoot

(Note: That AMX13 57 on sale just now has a huge view range for a fast scout compared to a wheelie)

Well basically on ensk one managed to get to near enough to our cap are to spot me just leaving the cap area in a batchat at the start of a game, with their miraculous aiming and HE he managed to basically shave off half my health and get me spotted, I of course managed to damage his wheels twice and then the other one behind him managed to finish me off literally less than a minute in to the game.. Yes very fun game for me..................... thanks wargaming. Maybe if you introduce tanks with such speed you might want to look at the size of the maps....

People are getting used to properly leading shots on these things *AND* they were an underwhelming class to even begin with so their flaws are now starting to show.

High speed does not win you matches, good view range and offensive capabilities do when it comes right down to it.

That is the problem. WG just added these for those speed hungry players. They are good at cleaning up at the end of the battle. And on some maps, they are good for spotting. And are only useful in the hands of a very very skilled player. Every time I see them, they are driving around like crazy and not really doing anything.

It is much much worse in WVs. It's like WG combined Need For Speed with World War. 30 seconds into the game and WVs attack your cap circle, take 2 shots and die.
