Gotta love the game mechanics. Shot t32 with my s-51 head on with penetration and did 95hp damage. Maybe the tracks soaked the rest of the 1800hp damage...

Gotta love the game mechanics. Got hit by a GW-Panther for 1400dmg + fire.
Thats one ruined match within 1 shot.
Fun! Real addition to the game, artillery.

Low tier arty is horrifically random in its damage, where high tier has no issues 1 shotting tier 9 and 10's a significant chunk of the time.
You introduced the new buff to reduce the damage reduction caused by armour to allow low tier arty and HE users to have some effect, the only issue I see is that it made little difference to low tier arty, which is still utterly borked in its damage output, other than random 1 shots, where high tier arty benefitted by far the more from the buff.
Ironic when you consider that high tier arty was well balanced after the HE nerf, and it was low tier arty where they coulnd;t hurt things.
I could live with it with tier 2,3 and 4 arty, were their MM values changed, but when an SU26 keeps getting tier 7 heavies (8 out of 10 games), that it cant even tickle, whats its purpose?
And thats before we start on the "bounces" that now happen off very wierd things...
Since when is a high explosive shell, that detonates on impact ever going to bounce? Unless its a dud...
Yes it might explode and achieve nothing, but for it to bounce? Are you having a laugh?

How about the following solution to the arty problem:
1) Cut arty damage in half
2) Double its credit income
Now people will be able to poke their nose out from cover without being instakilled and arty players will still make the same amount of dough.

I have tried some T50-2 arty hunting on test server and... arty is MORE than capable of defending itself. I usually detect arty around 160m away while being detected myself. Arty basically in 8/10 cases has a chance to fire a well aimed shot with 6m splash at me, unless it has just shot someone else. Most of the time it hits my tank or close enough (doing evasive maneuvers doesn't help at 50m when there is 6m splash) to kill it.
With meds it's just as bad. While E50 or Patton have enough HP to survive a frontal shot, most often when they arrive to base they are down to 50% HP. They try to find those 2 T7 artys, bam - 900HP goes down the drain along with the tank itself.
It is almost impossible to kill a good arty player who is not reloading without losing 900 HP. This is ridiculous, because I had to go through whole enemy team's defence, and all I get is a 200mm shell to the face which kills my tank while I don't have a chance to fire back. And that arty had all the chances to hit me on my way to their base. Even if it has failed so badly - it just gets another, 90% sure basically, chance to kill my tank!
And even if I survive this hit, my tank is crippled, and if there is a 2nd arty - goodbye cruel world. And even if I manage to kill that arty - congratulations, you have received 900 damage to deal 500 back, hurray! Arty hunting is simply suicidial without some serious backup, and when there are 3-4 artys in some area, they can kill 2-3 t9 meds with 50% HP each without any problems.
What seems to work is counting on your own arty to kill enemy arty - but this is ridiculous, because all you get is post-mortem satisfaction that your spotting helped the team. This is much less rewarding than a good kill done by your own tank's gun.

theres no point in discussing anything on these forums. The majority of the people that voted even want to see arty buffed. They are so stupid they cant even admit the KV is OP. Tier 7 gun on a tier 5 HEAVY. Nah not OP at all.

Too many high level arties per game now ruined the high tier combat.
I just got a T2 LT as it's the only thing I can play to avoid arty.
Sort it out.

This is beyond ridiculous, tanks have no chances against arty even up close unless they have over 1000HP.
T50-2 gets 1-shotted each and every time I get close enough to arty to actually start shooting it. Huge splash and weird trajectory makes it too damn easy to kill a scout from 50-100m while scout has to hit this dumb arty 10 times to kill it.

Artillery needs to be limited to 3 per match on higher tiers, that's all. I think that right now it's perfect as it is.

this, even when you can finnaly get in range of the artillery, you still need a lot of luck to kill them. They have enough HP to survive 1 shell, which means that they can take the time to aim on you and get 1 shell off before you kill them. This can deal like 1500 damage and kill all your crew and modules and shit... and from the front its sure to kill ur gun. It's ridiculous that even at close range where arty is supposed to be bad at, they are pretty good.
They could also be camping arround some corner and when u come arround the corner they shoot u in the face and ur dead.

Just played a game with small T-49. Driving fast over the open ground, even changing speed a bit. Suddenly a pie flies out of the sky and flattens my poor little vehicle.
Developers: are you insane!? This can't be real!
Arty is OP. Too precise, shooting too fast, able to shoot without lowering the supports, able to turn and immediately shoot, it's a classic rogue / glass cannon that ain't so glassy after all, because it's got stealth. Please remove this disgrace from the game.

Arty shot 1933 damage vs E100 (most damage I've ever done to a tier 10)

For meds and scouts be succesfull arty-hunters they should nerve most of the arty's agility, meaning turningrate and accelleration/speed. Like alot of people say, if you are below 1000HP and have to deal with arty, your only hope is they miss you the first shot or even didn't spot you. Anything else, and your pz is burning. This is too frustating for the lower tier med and light tanks. Nerf this, and you make the game much more fun for lots of us, balancing the game a little also. For exp lost by arty it easy; give them more exp per hit, so that this evens out.

Been playing the M7 Priest since a few days.
The damage it does is ridiculously low. With it's splash damage of less than 2m and the new HE rules, you can hardly even damage a scout when it lands next to its track. When you hit a heavy tank, you do 0-200 damage. 0, because splashradius doesn't even reach a weakpoint, let alone one where it can deal some serious damage.
Rate of fire is excellent, but damage vs splash is ridiculous. Even when I hit a tier 3-5, dealing more than 100 damage is unlikely at best, accidentally, one may do around 100-165 damage. Usualy, even when hitting a scout directly, damage lies between 0 and 60.
Something needs to be done about this arti and other HE shells of the same caliber to make it worthwhile. Grinding this is impossible, certainly when faced with tier 8 tanks continuously.

I think that ANY arty shouldn't remove a third of a tank's health on a near miss, half on a direct hit and 100% on a lucky shot AFTER you grind 2000 battles up to a T9 tank.

I'm just simply amazed by how many clueless idiots come to this thread making claims that have absolutely no facts in them.
You made it perfectly clear that you don't have the slightest clue on how arty works, you don't have the slightest clue how to avoid arty fire, you don't have the slighest clue how to kill arty.
Well sir, you are just a ....
Arty is OP...well, let's see about that.
Too precise, NO, arty has the least precise guns in game.
Shooting to fast, NO, arty has the longest reloading times in game.
Able to shoot without lowering the support, wtf? less mushrooms more juice dude, its healthier for you.
Able to turn and immediatly shoot, well yes, with an accuracy of african continent.
It's some stealthy ninja rogue or whatever, NO, arty has the least camo values in game, in many maps you get spotted from the other side of the map before you got your first shell loaded.
Out of 10 games:
5 are ruined by sucky matchmaker, YES, give the famous "will code fore food" bum his food and he will make it better, hell give the drunk monkey some drugs and he will also make it better than WG.
4 are ruined by clueless players, like the above poster, YES, there is >95% probability that out of your 14 teammates, ~10 will be absolutely useless, in every sense.
1 is ruined by poor map designs, flawed spotting mechanics etc etc...
Dismissing people who disgree with you as "clueless idiots" isn't the sort of discourse we're looking for here. Going forward, please make your aruments without the flaming/name-calling Additionally, your disparaging remarks about the deveopment team are also not welcome and can draw a sanction, as well.
I draw your attention to the applicable forum rules excerpeted in the spoiler below.

GJ. It's always nice to see such an intelligent and gentlemanly arty fan!
Now, back to seriousness - do you realise, that 2-3 good players can win any match? Even with a team full of idiots? But to win this match, they need to do a lot of driving, and they are usually those, who lead the attack. Meds have to move a lot too to use their ONLY advantage over heavies.
Now, guess who gets hit by arty most often.
It's very hard to get above 50% WR with arty playing solo. Because both total noob and decent player achieve similiar results, because it requires very little skill. And that's why it's hard to win more than 50%, because it's hard to do MUCH better than a skill-less fat kid.
This works the other way too - skill-less kid gets his share of damage and victories, even though he would get totally demolished while driving normal tanks.
As a result - the more the artys, the less dynamic and predictable the battle. Tons of arty make the battle totally random and boring as hell. Why? Because arty kills skill, kills movement (it punishes you for moving) and the only thing it promotes is bush-scouting for 10 minutes.
Now, back to good players - they would win way MORE if there was no arty involved. There is no way of actually avoiding arty effectively other than camping. ANd when good players are camping, all other players are getting slaughtered.
If there were less artys, you would get more victories too. Because judging by your stats, you can win tank duels without problems. Using armor, cover etc. But against arty there is no defence, so your skill becomes meaningless. You just die because 203mm shell has landed 1m away and dealt 750 damage after flying for 1000m, above that rock you've been hugging with some absolutely crazy trajectory, even though normal tanks can't even see the target past 600m.
Arty is too precise. If you count every shot that lands close enough to deal 400+ damage, you'll realise you hit around 2/3 of your shots while firing from a goddamn bush in a goddamn base 900m away. Try hitting anything with E75 at 650m and tell me how much damage have you dealt! Also remember that normal tanks very often fail to penetrate and deal damage, while in case of arty - every shot = damage/.
