What to do with this tank? What role to play?

It was quite easy for me. You either play as a sniper or a support vehicle. You let them fire their gun then put 3~5 shots in them. Try to avoid trading in the beginning of the battle. You will need your HP to trade later. For example against an IS-3, you trade 390 for his entire health. Don't rush. And don't think because the tank is labelled HEAVY, it is actually a heavy tank. It has 0 armor,0 camo. Relocate when you see it fit. Don't rush into enemy while you're reloading.

And I equipped mine with Vent,Vstab and GLD since the aiming time is really bad.

2nd line support. You either follow the meds, or the HT's. And stay behind them. Once their target reloads or is distracted, you use the burst damage. And spend the time on the long reload to relocate to a different spot or flank. Just move in when you have short time left on the reload. I see so many hide and wait for the clip to be up before they move the 20 sec it takes to get up and flank the target. Like the 50 100 today that was at the top of the hill on Himmelsdorf. He waited for a full reload before he drowe down it to reset base. And he missed it by 1 second. Time it so you are ready to fire when you get there.

Opportunistic bastard.

Support whenever you can like Balc0ra said.

If bottom tier, snipe, or quickly redeploy.

If top tier, go in front and ambush someone where there's the chance, than run away.

3 arty game, drive like madman the moment you get spotted.

Also, top gun > all and you can't snapshot without food + vents at least.

Support tank dont go yolo thinking its heavy.Stay with pack of heavy or meds when u think u can unload your whole mag for all penetration shots and receiving only little dmg from enemy in return go for it not necessary that u should pen every shot!.Try to conserve your hp as this tank got no armor at all.Never unload your clip when u r alone unless there is a safeway to escape!

At least 4 shells will somehow menage to miss or "critical hit"

GLD simple does not work for this tank, you always miss or crit 2 of em. I play it with optics so at least i can spot back enemys. Arty can pen you, gun is shiat..simply can't find that playstyle for this tank. Waiting behind heavys never works in term of dmg done, sniping is worse option with this gun.

I've used GLD, vents and optics on mine for years. I can't imagine playing half blind in that thing.

No vstab ?

One trick you need to learn with autoloaders like 50 100 is not to combine dispersions.

Try to avoid turning your tracks at all cost, if you do that, you combine dispersions for track traverse + moving + turret traverse (a little).

Try to just go forward and backwards, which is just moving + turret traverse.

Also, never rush the 1st shot if you can, as you need that first shot to be fully aimed in, if you start unloading.
